I think I misplayed this hand. I am not sure if 99 is strong enough if this situation. I pokerstove it an get 45% equity vs a 9% range (60% vs his range that I can now assign him). Anyone not shove here? Had no read on villian. Later, found out he was drunk and messing around. Played 7 total games against him and ended up 4/3. He sucked out big time on 3. Looks fine to me.If you have HEM check all your opponent's 4bet %, look at individual hands to see how they play AA and KK sometimes QQ quite differently and see how you match up vs that more realistic range. That should give you a good "default" range to 3bet/call 4bet with if you don't have information to otherwise help you.I think you'll find that 99 does fine. Don't forget there are chips in the pot once you 3bet as well, so if you have 49% equity it's a clear call if he shoves, for example.Nice comeback win too.
Easy shove here, you're not folding for sure and if you just flat then you will often be in a world of difficulty figuring out what to do with a bunch of overcards on the board and him doing the shoving now. So basically you're committed here after his 4 bet and forget about poker stove, you can see how this can get you confused when you're making assumptions about his range which probably don't include ace rag, you've got plenty of equity shoving this here against all but the nittiest of players. This guy was drunk so I doubt he qualifies for that :)
