Group Coaching! (Use other thread to pick your time with your group members)

Hi all,   It's time to start thinking about what you're looking from for your group coaching session. These will take place between the 11th and the 24th of April, and will be a one-hour conversation complete with my prepared lesson and your questions. One of my dream jobs in the future is to be a high school psychology teacher with students who actually want to take the class and an administration that lets me do whatever the hell I think is best. What I'd do for most of the first day is put the textbook on my students desk, and say, “Open this. Look through it. You tell me what you most want to learn”. And we'd spend most of the rest of the year learning exactly that. So I'm really interested in forming groups of people that are interested in the same games and/or concepts and talking about what you want me to talk about, in addition to some special themes I'd really like to get across. If you would, please send me a message through HUSNG.com (click the messages sidebar) just so I have it all in one place, with the following information:

  1. What stakes do you play?
  2. Do you want to learn more about superturbos, turbos, reg speeds, deepstacks, or any/all?
  3. What time of the day would you generally be free to participate in a session? (just a general idea, it's not binding. Please include a time zone).
  4. In general, what are you hoping to get out of this session?

I'll use these initial questions to form groups of about 4-6 students and then we'll start figuring out what times work for people. Once we get the basic groups ironed out, I'll have you each send me more questions/information beforehand. Remember that this is just one hour of coaching while other people are also being attended to. If you have a specific question that works perfectly well for the forum, just ask it in the strategy thread. Still, I think this will be a very productive and worthwhile end to your month of coaching. At the end, I'll give you a link to a survey that gives me feedback about how much you liked your experience, and when I receive that data, I'll send out my lesson notes and some extra resources so that you can have those going forward. My current plan is to finish up this batch of students, evaluate the program, see what adjustments need to be made with regard to setup/price/number of students/distribution of student abilities, and then make those changes and start signing people up for the next session which starts May 1st. From then on, if the program proves to be a success, we'll have a more normal month-to-month renewal process where there's no downtime in between. Let me know if you have any questions.   Thanks, mers

I have one question: Will we

I have one question: Will we have access to this forum during april?Regarding your questions:1. 34s/55s2. I play Stars Turbos, so mostly more deep play.3. During the week: 7pm till 11pm CET. On weekends usually noon till evening.4. I'm hoping to get new ideas I didn't think about until now but also the main tools / concepts which are needed to crush the 55s/115s.Great program so far, btw. :)

Forum access will be up at

Forum access will be up at the end of your month's subscription, which for most of you is somewhere between the 11th and the 15th.

A quick reminder to Method A

A quick reminder to Method A payment people: You need to have played at least 200 games at the $10 level or above within a month of signing up, or you won't be eligible for the group coaching session.

1. $55 / $110 Stars turbos

1. $55 / $110 Stars turbos and $80 / $120 turbos on Cereus2. turbos, but also very interested in endgame3. I'm very flexible, but anything after ~8pm CEST on Tue/Wed/Sat/Sun would be great.    Or I could also get up very early , which would be around 10pm at the West Coast.4. Good question, endgame probably - and I need to figure out why I just can't win at    Stars at the moment.

1. currently $50-$200 on

1. currently $50-$200 on FTP.I'm a HU n00b so waiting til I have a sample before moving up to $300+2. I only play super turbos so that's all I'm really interested in3. If it's Mon-Thurs sometime between 8am & 9pm central usually works4. I can't think of anything too specific but I guess some of the most important concepts for crushing $300+ STs

1. Mostly 50s, some 100s.

1. Mostly 50s, some 100s. Will probably turn into mostly 100s, some 200s next month.2. Superturbos, though I wouldn't mind getting into some deeper stack stuff.3. Will be able to free up time at very different hours most days, but I live in spain, so can't be too late in the US (wouldn't be the end of the world to do it at 8pm ET - 2am Spain time, but something like 11pm ET would be too much)4. Hard to say, new/deeper concepts would be great, and I'd especially appreciate anything with which I might continue to work on improving by myself after the session.

1. 20s and 30s on FullTilt

1. 20s and 30s on FullTilt (turbos only) and occasionally I splash around in the $10 STs.2. I am interested in Turbos mostly but wouldn't hate a ST coaching session3. I am around from 10am-3pm weekdays pacific time and most times on the weekends4. I would be interested into a math themed session.  Strategies for analyzing your own play with flopzilla, pokerstove, HEM etc. would be awesome.  I could always improve my endgame as well.  I have plenty to work on so really anything would be cool.

1. 22s/33s on ftp (turbos)

1. 22s/33s on ftp (turbos) but also interested in adding ST2. Turbos, Superturbos3. weekdays (except friday) i can free up some time after 18-20:00 ET, weekend i prefer sunday in the evening/night4. anything you think i lack-off based on my posts to crush 110s+, important concepts u think are key in beating 55s/110s/220s (especially against exploitable regs) "homework" and guidelines to things to improve on my own or away-from-the-pc. I think the main thing i need is to be confident enough in my game to dont strive with my mentality when on a downswing or long breakeven stretch and just be able to put volume even when running bad.

1.       20-35$ and some 50$.

1.       20-35$ and some 50$. 2.       I only play superturbos on FT so I’d like to learn more about them 3.       During the week: 17:00-23:00 Central European Time (= 11:00am-5:00pm Eastern Time) Weekend: 9:00-24:00 Central European Time (=3:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time) 4.       I’m hoping to learn some advanced concepts and improve myself in superturbos. To give you an idea avout by knowledge: I’ve I watched your endgame videos and I think I’ve understooden them quiet well.

1.) I usually play 200 ST and

1.) I usually play 200 ST and 230 turbo on ftp( sometimes 350 and 330 also )2.) Majority of games is superturbos, but i mix in few turbos also. So ST-s and turbos for me.3.) 4.00 ET ( dont know, its fulltilt time ) and after that 13 hours.4.) It`s hard to say. I have been learning the game so long for now ( few years + ) so i think if i get few new ideas and start to think about thing(s) i never did before, then this session have had excellent value for me.

Currently play 30s/50s

  1. Currently play 30s/50s regspeeds on Stars and FTP, some Stars turbos
  2. Would like to learn mostly about regspeeds, although I don't think those are CRAZY different from turbos, especially stars
  3. I'm most free on weekdays from 9am-12am Japan Standard Time (I think that's like 8pm-11pm EST?), and also from midnight to 5am JST (so 11am-1pm EST).
  4. Would like "homework", especially on ways to become more consistent/disciplined ingame. I think I have a tendency to get outside myself and try to make too many plays and am somewhat frustrated in trying to fix that.  Would also like to focus on exploiting bad regs-not that I think it's unimportant to exploit fish, but rather that I think I do a bad job/adjust poorly when I play regs over the course of several matches.  I'd also like to discuss (although I suppose I can just ask this in a thread) planning out one's poker career to maximize utility, taking into account enjoyment, money, and future plans.  Actually, I'll prolly just make that a separate thread.

1. Moslty $110 Stars

1. Moslty $110 Stars turbos2. Stars turbo structure3. Preferred time would be somewhere between noon and ~4pm eastern US time, but I'm sure I could do any time between noon and midnight most days.4. Endgame strategy (especially playing OOP vs different opponent types), 3bet pot strategy vs different opponent types.

What stakes do you
  1. What stakes do you play?

Right now I'm playing 100$ superturbos. I also play Turbos but I'm looking to improve my ST game right now

  1. Do you want to learn more about superturbos, turbos, reg speeds, deepstacks, or any/all?

Superturbos!

  1. What time of the day would you generally be free to participate in a session? (just a general idea, it's not binding. Please include a time zone).

Doesn't matter to me that much. Anything between 11:00 to 03:00 CEST should be good. To get real picky: between 17:00 - 21:00 would be perfect.

  1. In general, what are you hoping to get out of this session?

How to soulcrush donks in superturbos ;)

i play 50's and 100's

i play 50's and 100's Turbo's  i'd like to talk about medium blinds and defending from the bb. especially when calling instead of 3betting.  weekdays are best for me.  Hope to get to understand playing from the BB better.

1. Started this playing 10$

1. Started this playing 10$ reg speeds, now playing the 20$. Tried the 30$ but drooped 10 bi so i'm back at 20$. Also started to mix in some turbos but at stars it's basically the same, i only prefer reg speeds atm because i'm struggling with the 40-15bb zone.2. Turbos and reg speeds.3. Something between 13.00 and 2.00 WET would be cool.4. Things like what you talked on your recent articles, how to think in 3bet, c/r situations, maybe betsizing stuff, how aggression and ranges change when stacks get shorter, ... i think that's what would help my game the most atm.
