Going for Value instead

Hey guys, Was just thinkin at the 50 dollar level and below do you think it may be better to have smaller bets throughout streets to gurantee value and truly grind down ur opponent instead of taking it in 1 big swoop..

I.E. Betting 1/3 pot on river with nuts instead of 3/4 of pot when u know 100% they will call smaller bet

If you are in a 100 pot and

If you are in a 100 pot and think that a bet of 75 will get called 50% of the time but a bet of 25 will be called 100% of the time then you should be making the 75 bet because it nets you an average of 37.5 chips whereas the other only nets you an average of 25 chips. If you think that your bet of 75 is getting called 25% of the time then it is only netting you an average of 18.75 so you should be going with the other bet.

You should be betting whatever amount will net you the most chips (chip equity). You shouldn't always be going for a small amount but you shouldn't always be going for a big amount either.
