Sup guys, I hav been noticing at the 55s my shoves hav been gettin called really light, like @ 25/50 on bb after a 3x i shove like 99 fig.. and its getting called by QJ,,, even stacked.. even if it is my first or second shove, obv my range can be pretty wide but my point is... would instead of shoving are u better to go & go every time so that my oppent doesnt get a chance to hit the turn or river?? Cos thats were the jack always seems to fall!?? :P

You should shove hands that are ahead of their range. 99 is ahead.

yeah i know that,,,, lol but.... my arguement for always making this play is that when u make this play u can call reshove but u can also miss out 2 streets for ur oppenent to hit and they could even fold there top pair or whatever even on the flop when u shove. IF the players are calling really wide,,,,, like really wide,,,, is this not a better play?
Nobody is folding top pair when shortstacked. You shouldn't try to make them.

I guess, just pretty fustrating that they are calling so light and hitting, there is really no way to combat this and it is good in the long run

There is nothing wrong with a go and go if an opponent is calling way too wide preflop or will fold way too often to flop shoves, but if he's calling your all in preflop shoves light already, then there is no reason not to just shove.
Ideally, you want a clear cut reason to do things such as "go and go" rather than making them a standard part of your game. It's really an adjustment against a small but important group of opponents.
Unfortunately, most people don't even know what the go and go is, others discount it b/c it's not ideal vs most opponents (but neither is minraising first level, yet playing ABC transparently is ideal vs most opponents, so you get a ton of contradiction with these guys) and many of the people that do learn what a go and go is misapply it (usually by using it too often).
So, I would recommend just using what works. If a guy is calling your shoves wide, keep shoving. If you see a guy calling 3-bet super light and he's folding a lot of the time postflop, he's your mark for the go and go. Otherwise, just focus on the best way to exploit players and try not to get too caught up with adjustments that are appropriate vs a small amount of players.
