Flat or Shuv pre - 55s

villain had already 3 bet me a fair bit and i had been all in once with pocket 33s against AQ and held up, so he had a bit of tilt going.  I had lost an all in with AQ vs J9 a few hands before.

If i flat im pretty sure im set mining on the flop or making an uncomfortable all in call to his donk, he had open shuvd a number of times well over the pot.

Judging by the information

Judging by the information you provided, I lean towards shoving pre-flop.  You say he's really aggressive and has been 3-betting a lot, so you're likely ahead of his range, plus you should have a decent amount of fold equity.  Flatting pre-flop is tough because, although you're getting 3 to 1, it's going to be very hard to know where you stand on almost every flop.  If you don't like shoving pre-flop, my personal second choice would be to set-up a go-and-go since he's so aggressive (assuming he doesn't donk too many flops). You could consider 4-betting to about 325 and then shoving any flop.  This is just something else to think about, but I'd definitely lean toward shoving over flatting.

P.S. I think set-mining is pretty much out of the question given the shallow stacks and the odds your getting.

Hope this helps :)

Have you ever limped against

Have you ever limped against him pre-flop ?  IMO that's just the perfect spot for a limp/shove.

Yeah that makes sense, in

Yeah that makes sense, in general i dont limp much.  I do tend to do a few early on with ATC  just to test the water and see if they attack the limp to setup for this kind of thing when the blinds are a bit bigger if they do it habitually.  Not sure why i didnt do it in this case i'd need to try and dig out my notes from him to see if im using them enough after writing them.

Anyone know if there is a way of pulling up notes for villains in FT any time after the game is over?

i wouldn't do limp shove or

i wouldn't do limp shove or shove there .... i would just limp ...try to hit the flop ...but he is a donk so ur stack size  hasn't got importance ...
cause the fold equity doesn't exist there with such players ...

just be more patient and wait for a top pair decision ...

remind this: donks have AIDS ... fuck them with a condom.

If his previous 3bets have

I would shove here almost all the time against a guy that 3bets a lot.

The only thing to make me consider another line (and that's a fold) would be if he had a raise sizing tell here.

For example, a guy may 3bet 50% of hands, but 90% of the time he 3bets could be a 3x sizing, he may make it 2x your open only with very strong premium hands, or 5% of total hands in this example.  Vs that player, I fold, but you'll usually pick up on that.  I assume this guy has been making it 2x your open on his 3bets, or thereabout.
