constant 3better

No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter BTNHero2325  BBBasaleI675  Effective Stacks: 17bb Blinds 20/40 Pre-Flop (60, 2 players) Hero is BTN Hero raises to 80, BasaleI raises to 160, Hero folds Final Pot: 240 BasaleI wins 240 ( won +80 ) Hero lost -80The villain is 3betting 28%, I didn't really feel comfortable calling a 3bet with a low A especially with these short stacks but when he is 3betting this much should I be? I would guess that shoving would be bad here because I'm dominated by his calling range?

It's a clear push. eff stack

It's a clear push. eff stack is 680. If you push you take home a 320 pot in most times. If he ReRaise in about 30%then in his range are 78s+,T9o+, T8s+, any A, K8+, 22+. And you still had an Ace. I guess that you are even in front byhis calling range.

Yeah you should never be

Yeah you should never be calling this type of hand, either fold or jam. You're not interested in taking a flop against a range that includes a ton of hands that ace high is ahead of preflop, so if you think his range is wide enough to continue you should just jam. It sounds like jamming would be fine against this player. Consider flatting with connected hands with less preflop equity.
