calling shove with 55's

At blinds 25/50. Minraising pocket 5's and folding to a shove of $1250 against a player that isn't too crazy... is it ok?

You can come up with a range

You can come up with a range to put him on to decide whether or not this is a call (you are calling 1150 to win 2500 so 1150/2500 = you need to win 46% to call this). I don't think you are making 46% against most people while this deep, so a fold looks fine to me unless he has given you a reason to think otherwise.

 100% disagree.  Blinds

100% disagree.  Blinds are 25/50, you're 23BB deep.  55 has prob close to 53% equity vs. a random's range, and you only need 46%.  Call.
Run it in pokerstove estimating villain's range.  Should tell you the answer you're looking for better than we can.

Another hand that looks

Another hand that looks quite interesting to me is holding QT OOP and villain open shoves. Against a villain who's been shoving a lot I'd call 10-14bb deep. But let's say blinds are 50/100 and villain open shoves to $1250. We don't know how wide he's shoving (multi-talbing), but he hasn't been shoving a lot... so our guess is hands like K7 etc but he might do it with 78 too cause we don't know much. How many bb deep would you guys call QTo against this player? I just called 12,5bb deep and he showed 77's... but I'm still wondering if it was a good call against this particular player.

*EDIT* skates is pretty much right, opened my eyes there. The range I put most opponents on there we're 50,6% against. But obviously like xscwx said though it depends on villain so if hes not been shoving much we can fold it here.

You guys must play different

You guys must play different randoms than I do.
