$5 bum hunting

Do you have to bum hunt to play higher levels? I have been playing the $2 and I would just sit the lobbies since a vast majority of the players are losers. I've been scoping people in the $5 FTP reg speed lobbies and it seems 50% are winning heads up players. What do you have to do to be protiable? Should I just bumhunt, or just sit the lobbies?

You won't have time to

You won't have time to bumhunt because by the time you open sharkscope they would already be sat by someone else. Just play anyone, the players on the $5 are not that different from the $2.

I'm trying to get a system in

I'm trying to get a system in color coding my opponents @Pokerstars. The colors are visible in the lobby, so I know that I should register in a game with a 'green' player and should probably avoid the 'red' players.

I suggest you to build a BR

I suggest you to build a BR fo 5$s first. Difference between 2 and 5s isn't that big... so if you can easily beat 2$, then you can easily build a BR for 5s tho, right? :D

I'm surprised that you're

I'm surprised that you're seeing over half the $5 players are winners.  If this is still happening, I would guess it's just variance/sample size issues, as you should find many more losing players at those games, I don't think the player pool has shrunk to such a degree (nor winners stay at the $5s long, a lot of players are comfortable moving up or reckless with bankrolls).

I am currently playing the

I am currently playing the reg speed $5's on FT (only 200 games). I just sit lobbies and almost every game the opponent is extremely weak, I think I have played 2 'regs', and have 17% roi haha, also I have never faced the same opponent twice unless a fish rematched me, indicating quite a large player pool.I would just sit the lobbies and play straight forward, after the first ~10 hands, I just identify the player type and adjust to what exploits them. Also definately play the $5's, the players are just as bad and the rake is less.

I'm playing $6.25 turbos on

I'm playing $6.25 turbos on stars and can reassure you that you do not need to game select at all. Every player is horrible, if you've watched just some of the beginners vidoes then you'll do just fine.

Considering how many bad

Considering how many bad players there are on the $55's, I really don't see any reason why it should be more difficult on lower levels. And I sit anyone who plays on my level till they've given me a reason not to ;-)
