No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players$14.39+$0.61 Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter SBElevatorJoe1275  BBHero1725  Effective Stacks: 26bb Blinds 25/50 Pre-Flop (75, 2 players) Hero is BB ElevatorJoe raises to 100, Hero calls 50   Flop (200, 2 players) Hero checks, ElevatorJoe bets 100, Hero raises to 250, ElevatorJoe calls 150   Turn (700, 2 players) Hero bets 400, ElevatorJoe calls 400   River (1500, 2 players)  Hero checks, ElevatorJoe goes all-in 525villain - began as TP then with the game going on he was getting TAGgier and i had the impression he was now stabbing a lot, double barrel quite some, but still he seemed to be quite tight. he raised 50% of his btns up to now but in the last hands he winded up his frequency to about 80%. this is why i call with T8o, still a bit borderline, but i as i guess i have a good edge post, i called. he folded to all my raises pre (2.5x, 3.5x).my questions:1. should i raise higher on flop? i guess i give him the odds to call with sd + overcards?2. i wanted him to call to maximize chips, but i guess again - i should have bet turn a bit higher as he has almost the odds to call. right? i guess shoving turn is an option but not the most +ev?

The problem is that against a thinking opponent you don't represent a ton of hands if you haven't called a lot OOP, so they will put you on a bluff often or if they are better they will feel your range is made up of a lot of bluffs.  There are hands you can have (A5, K5, Q5s maybe, over cards + FD, sets, 76, maybe 66-77), but I think a thinking opponent that isn't weak will see your hand for what it is quite often, a bluff. Now, all of that aside, I don't hate the sizing (if a flop bluff is good I don't think the sizing is a big deal here, it means your opponent is weak usually, cbetting a lot and folding to raises on boards you probably don't hit, or seeing you call a lot OOP and realizing you can hit this flop with more hands than the ones mentioned in paragraph 1).  The river is a shitty card, but the pot is massive and it's only another 500 chips to call, and flush and some straight draws can still be in his range that missed, even if Ax is a pretty legitimate hand for him to have here.
