1K HU MTT

Hey all. I won a seat to the 1K HU tourney tomorrow on Cereus. I'm stoked and can't wait to play. However this is quite high stakes for me and I've never played in a HU MTT before so I was wondering if anyone had some tips or advice for this thing. All advice is much appreciated. Hopefully I'll ship it!

Do you normally play

Do you normally play HUSNG's? Do you haver a subscription here? If not I would spend the $100 and start watching videos that teach the fundementals like Primos earliest videos and some others.

 Yes I have exclusively

Yes I have exclusively been focusing on HUSNG's and MTT's for a few months now. I can't tell you how much my game has improved b/c of heads up play. Not to mention how much more I'm enjoying poker b/c of it. Also I do have a subscription here. I have strong fundementals and I would consider myself far beyond the basics, I'm more concerned about the level of play I'll come across in a buy in this large.  I'm looking for advice since I've never played a MTT that was all heads up. It's got to be way different than all the normal HUSNG's I play.

One more thing I might add

One more thing I might add to make this more clear. I guess I'm wondering if there is an overall strategy to a take with a tourney like this or should I just treat it like 5 or 6 different high stakes HUSNG's?

just treat them like normal

just treat them like normal HUSNGs, maybe play a little bit more smallball because the lenght of the match wont affect your $/h at least that much. But this is obv dependent on villain and your personal preferences.....

edit: maybe you can get a buddy or a coach to sweat you against a share, it would make you more confident at those stakes.

 Good Idea. Anyways the

Good Idea. Anyways the tourney messed up and people weren't able to see flop cards so it was cancelled and the buy in was returned. Oh well.

That's a funny result.  At

That's a funny result.  At least you probably studied harder and thought more about the game than usual.  It'll bring you better expectation, though you may not always be aware of it (at least not right away).

For all you know, this could be a time you look back on to where you really turned the corner and started crushing the games.  Keep working hard.
