Spin - BB Defend vs SB - Flop Line Check

Hey guys, first post here!

My feeling is that general population tendencies are for villain to cbet a lot of dry flops - we're not super thrilled with our kicker though.  Should our line be to try and get value (i.e. re-raise flop) or should we try to minimize pot (call and re-assess turn)?

Your checkraise range should

Your raising raise range should be more polar, just call.  You pot control and lose min to 5x + and keep his air in that may try and double barrel you off the bottom of your flop check call range like ace and queen high. Also a lot of the player pool at spins aren't good hand readers so will just barrel blindly without thinking about your range and the board texture.

Thanks Arron - so when you

Thanks Arron - so when you talk about a polarized range, do you mean nuts vs air?  I mean I have top pair but sounds like you are making a distinction that this does not fit in the value part of the polarized range.  Also, since we are in position, we are not really in a check/call or check/raise situation - does that change your answer at all?  Thanks again

When i say your raising range

When i say your raising range should be more polar it should be hands that are happy if they get 3bet or have an easy fold vs a 3bet.  So for value would be 5x and some air hands just looking for fold equity.  A king with no kicker is just a bluffcatcher vs 3barrels, same principle vs a 3bet on the flop.  Your either way ahead or way behind and raising for thin value or information just folds out so much of opponents air range which has no pair no draw and no overcards to improve.
