I'd hate to say it, but I think bet/folding on the flop is optimal. The villain you are describing sounds super nitty so in a best case scenario I think you end up against a combo draw or pair+draw (which is still flipping) and in a worst case scenario you are in very bad shape. Additionally, it will be very hard to play this hand optimally against him if he bets again.Also, with a 27% limp range I would not be surprised at all to run into AX.
