fold to c/r?

No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter BTNHero1040  BBNeilixian1960  Effective Stacks: 21bb Blinds 25/50 Pre-Flop (75, 2 players) Hero is BTN Hero raises to 100, Neilixian calls 50 Flop (200, 2 players) Neilixian checks, Hero bets 100, Neilixian raises to 350, Hero folds Final Pot: 650 Neilixian wins 650 ( won +200 ) Hero lost -200 The villain c/r 27% over 60 hands but I don't have any reads on what range he is doing it with yet. I folded because I had no idea how many bluffs he had in his range and I would imagine with the stacks he is going to be jamming the turn a lot and I don't have any reads on him barreling so wouldn't be hapy about making this call if he did. Is this the right sort of thought process here? is the fold too tight? should I be worryin about him jamming the turn when I have no reads of him barrelling and he has a high c/r range?

When you say c/r over 60

When you say c/r over 60 hands, do you mean 60 hands in general, or 60 cbet hands? I think fold seems ok, given that his cbet looks commiting. But I would actually delay cbet this board because there are no many scary turns or rivers and you will hardly extract more then two streets of value from anything except some Kx.

I think its hard to give a

I think its hard to give a good answer to the problem without knowing some other factors.  Like j@ck said, how often are you opening your button? How often has he folded from the big blind? How often is he 3 betting pre flop? How often are you C betting flops? If he is playing a wide range from the big blind, then it is unlikely for him to have a Ax. If he is 3 betting a lot pre flop, then it is unlikely for him to have Ax.If you are opening 80%+ then, theres a small chance he is getting frustrated. If you are C betting a ton of flops, then he is going to give you less credit and feel inclined to 3 bet bluff more. I'm assuming you are opening a wide range from the button, he is calling a wide range from the big blind and you are C betting a fair amount (correct me if not).  In this case I would call his C/R, then call a shove.  I would have to think A8 or better would 3 bet preflop (if you are opening a wide range) just because a lot of weaker players do that.  Was he a weak player? (Again I'm assuming).  So its only a small part of his range thats ahead of you, with by the sounds of it, a bigger portion being check raise bluffs.  This would all change if my assumptions aren't correct.

Cheers guys Happy ham Yes I

Cheers guysHappy hamYes I was opening wide and cbetting a high percentage and he was playing 71% oop, but only 3betting 5% so far so this doesn't take too many As out of his range. He wasn't a weak player he had some clear leaks such as the lack of 3bets and folding to too many 3bets himself but he was quite agrressive fighting for the pot often.
