Hey,I would fold this hand

Hey,I would fold this hand pre-flop.As played:On the flop, I would check-call and reevaluate the turn.If it is a safe card, I would lead pot.On the flop, if we raise:I think we fold most hands that we beat (pair of 4, pair of 5, bluff etc..)We are called by overpairs to the board, flush draw, straight draw, trips etc..We are re-raised by some fluh draws (flush draw + 2 overs are favorite against our hand), straight, trips etc..On the turn, he min re-raises us. Most of the time, in my opinion, it can mean 2 things; he is very weak and want to get away with it cheaply or he is very strong and wants you to get over the top. However, for 120 chips, I would call and reevaluate. When you go all-in, what do you think that you beat is going to call you? In my opinion, not much. At best you are flipping but most likely are crushed.Cheers!Always take my answers with a grain of salt.

Hey Happy,Folding this hand

Hey Happy,Folding this hand is up to you. Some players like to play a lot of hands OOP but me...not really. The hands I play out of position are hands that flops well (suited connectors, broadway cards, T9-98 type hands, etc..)If you feel confortable playing out of position and you don't feel that you are being exploited too much, I don't really see a problem. I think it really depends of what style do you want to play. However, against certain type of players (tigh passive), I would play almost all my hands in and out of position because you know that every time they miss (> 70%), they will fold. So calling any hand OOP and donking the flop vs this kind of player can be really +EV.

Good advice in this thread,

Good advice in this thread, particularly about preflop play.I actually think a flop check raise is fine against an unknown here, min bets usually aren't inducers on these boards, at least not compared to the times they are cheap fold equity bets/weaker pairs/draws.Once he reraises you you're in a tougher spot I suppose, but the best play in my mind is calling and checking out the turn.  I'd still put him on a range that includes some weaker hands, and the right type of turn card is probably enough to proceed further, whereas draw fulfilling turns are probably enough to make a laydown.  I think that's better than shoving or folding on the flop.
