Preflop is a standard call and the flop call to his c bet is also standard. I remember it was one of the first hands in the challenge and at that time I did not think he was capable of checking behind trips or a str8 on the turn with those stacksizes and very rarely JJ which are only 3 combos because of the drawyness of the board and I also did not expect him to bluff too often on this river after this board run. So my hand is really good against his checking back range on the river but when he bets I expect him to have a double pair capped range most of the time and not many bluffs, so my hand I think it plays better as a raise than a call as I need him to fold close to 2/3 of his value range to be better than calling. One more thing to say about the reasoning behind my raise is that I was calling most of my range to his flop c bets including trips, draws and high card floats on most boards because he was c betting a polarized range mostly and when raising this rivers the only hands he is beating are the hands I decided to turn into a bluff and I have a stronger range on the river also with many more nuts than his range. Anyway he called and owned me on that hand :( but I think that I need to raise a balanced range on the river (maybe I was raising a little bit on the bluffier side but with this big sizing I do not need as many value hands for every bluff).

Standard 3 bet from me against him, his call is slightly better than a shove in my opinion against the frecuency I was 3 betting on the challenge which was lower and more condensed towards value because he defended more than most people. The flop check is standard to protect my checking range and get value of his air, plus keeping all of his worse draws is really good. On the turn I check again because if he has a flush he is going to bet sooner or later on the hand and if he has a pair I do not expect to even get 1 street of value a good amount of the time. On the river is the same thought process, I expect him to v bet a flush 100% and I have better expectation against his air checking rather than betting and as I have proved earlier he can think that I thought he is never checking back the nut flush on the turn which leads him into bet calling as I can also have turned hands into bluff in my range because his perceived range is not that strong.

=======

Standard call preflop, and standard call to his c bet, on the turn we go check check so with this stack sizes I expect him to bet close to 100% of the time his 6x and on the river I have close to the bottom of my range after checking river so I decided to go for a raise on the river as I expect to have a better expectation raising than calling.

=======

Standard call preflop, the flop goes check check so I expect him to have some middle pairs, a high k high hands and some air, so it has better expectation in my opinion checking the turn plus having a flushdraw on the turn chk calling range is necessary to be able to raise rivers and I think this pair+ flushdraw hand is one of the best to have on my chk calling range on the turn. On the river I am going for an easy check raise for value so no need to explain that.

=======

Standard call preflop, on the flop I do not think there is a huge difference between calling and folding as he is c betting polarized but barreling a good amount of turns but with the smaller size I need to defend a little bit more so I decided to call. The turn goes check check and on the river I again have one of the weakest hands on my range so decided to turn it into a bluff as I do not represent too much air and when he raises on the river I am pretty sure he is not likely to check back 79 or q9 on the river so his range is capped to 66 and 6x double pairs and I need him to fold 58% of the time his value hands to make it better than calling which I think is safe to assume given we have no history about 3 bets on the river and I can easily have 79 q9 on the river.

=======

Could have just c betted the flop but decided to chk back because he was not folding too much to the c bet if I recall correctly. On the turn i decided to bet my flushdraw and when he raises he can have the 4x but at the same time i know he knows I am not going to check many 4x on the flop (I did it a few times in the challenge but you need your opponent to be agrressive enough to compense the fact of the missed value on the c bet) and I also have a good amount of equity with the flushdraw and he can be raising some draws like 87 57 53 58 etc. On the river with that sizing I assumed he was polarizing his range and knowing I am splitting with his air I decided to raise river as I was never expecting him to have a 6x on that spot whereas I can have it more likely.

Standard hand by me, I have basically the nuts on the river as AK is out of his preflop calling range. I do not know the thought process behind his call on the river but he is a good player so he might have good reasons.

Not going to comment about it because I do not want to give information to Nochtm but it happened yesterday and wanted to post a different hand against someone who is not JNP :). I commented the hands about JNP because there was a lot of adjustments made since we played those hands and I do not think it is that relevant as he probably has a good read about me already and my thinking processes.
