CoffeeHUD PT4 Outage Resolved

At this time we recommend that all CoffeeHUD customers who are already using a 4.11.x version of PokerTracker update their PokerTracker to the 4.11.2 version (click here for Mac version). We are also monitoring user feedback for the new 4.11.6 release, and will change our recommendation to that version of PT if it proves to be stable and successful.

PT users who are still using 4.10.9 or older versions of PT who wish to upgrade to a 4.11.x version should exercise caution with that new series of PT releases, as many players have reported new errors with each new release in the 4.11.x series so far. Players who wish to upgrade from 4.10.x (or older) to 4.11.x should do a full manual backup of their PT database prior to updating, as updates to 4.11.x require incompatible alterations to the PT database that make a direct downgrade to 4.10.9 impossible.

The current mainline version of CoffeeHUD, 2.0.2, will not work with PT 4.10.9 or older versions. Current CoffeeHUD 2.0.2 users who need to get a copy of CoffeeHUD 2.0.1 for use with 4.10.9 or older releases should e-mail me their PT4 registration e-mail and 6-digit code (in PT4, go to Help and then About to find this info), and I will activate you for 2.0.1.

Update Thu May 29 18:27:18 UTC 2014: This news post has been re-written to reflect that: 4.11.2 remains our recommended version for CoffeeHUD users who are already on 4.11.x; we advise caution when upgrading from 4.10.9 to 4.11.x; and that we have a way to activate current CoffeeHUD customers for the 2.0.1 version if they need it for backwards compatibility.

I tested it personally.

I tested it personally. Previously, I was having the "Unknown token" error with PT 4.11.1 and CoffeeHUD 2.0.2. After updating to 4.11.2, the errors are gone.

My pt4 is unable to import

My pt4 is unable to import latest CoffeeHUD.
I updated to latest pt4 (4.11.2) but its saying unable to import due to column name conflict (cnt_hands_sb). not sure what this means

You have to delee that column

You have to delee that column to fix that issue. If you're not sure how to do it, email us and I'll set you up with the programmer to do it for you.

We're working on some instructions on how to delete column names when that error comes up.

So... at first i had the same

So... at first i had the same error as Plus live EV, then deleted that column, and since then had like 10 other errors and still counting. I will stop doing that now before i make to much damage and wait for your solution.

I was afraid that would happen. There are hundreds of custom columns in CoffeeHUD. It would take forever to delete them all one at a time.

Do know that when the updated CoffeeHUD imports, it brings in its own copies of the columns that are being deleted, so you're not actually "damaging" anything, as the damage will be repaired automatically once the import succeeds.

Strange... After updating to

Strange... After updating to 4.11.2 on Pokerstars everything works properly again but on ipoker HUD disappeared (not just CoffeeHUD - I played also a tournament and didn't manage to get HUD there, too).

Sure! I found that's a known issue that they are going to fix in next release. A lot of people at PT4 forum have this problem.

Current Update Problems

Some players are still reporting errors. The two most common errors right now are the "Import cancelled due to column name conflict" and the "A profile with this name already exists" errors.

 

The first error is an old bug from PT4 going back to last year even. Sometimes it is possible to delete the columns that are causing the problem, but sometimes it is not (depends on what version of the HUD you had before the error came up). We've asked the PokerTracker folks to look into it again since the 4.11.x problems exposed this error more accutely than before. We are still waiting on word from them on what they recommend as the fix.

 

The second error is new, but a player sent me an e-mail earlier today in which he wrote that he had been able to fix it himself like this: "Go on pt4 top line. Press edit hud. Then i saw 2 hud labels without name. Just clearly sections. On right near side click options>delete and delete both unnamed huds. Then restart pt4." So, if you see in your HUD profiles list two blank lines that look like they should be HUD names but aren't, try to see if PT4 will let you delete them, then restart PT4 and see if the import will work after that.

 

There is also one last option that we have. It seems to fix just about every name-related import error we have seen so far. However, it is destructive, invasive, and varies from person to person. It involves deleting your PokerTracker config data and then letting PokerTracker build new config data from scratch. This approach has the potential to delete important information and customizations you may have done to your PT4, such as deleting your custom reports. Also, because the specific steps vary from person to person, the safest way to apply this fix is for us to work hands-on with each player in real time. For those reasons, we are not resorting to that fix just yet, but instead reserving it as a 'nuclear option" in case PokerTracker needs too much time to fix the errors. Right now, we'd still rather give PokerTracker the time they need to issue fixes. However, we want CoffeeHUD customers who still have lingering errors to know that we do have a backup plan for a worst case scenario that will get you back to your grinding.

no errors anymore, just pops up the default pt4 hud during games instead of coffehud.

Are you able to switch to CoffeeHUD, or is it not in the list at all?

If you can change to CoffeeHUD, you can take a look at this entry from PT4's docs to see how to change which HUD profile PT4 opens by default for different situations.

Do you mean 4.11.3 or 4.11.4? 4.11.4 is the newest version, but there's an error in it and PT aren't releasing it as stable yet.

Hello, I've updated

Hello,

I've updated PokerTracker 4.11.3 and i have CoffeeHUD v2.0.2. It seems everything works fine, except one, but crucial detail. Limped hands are simply not counted and all the stats stay the same if anyone limped, it is just all those hands have never existed. Really strange, what should i do to change it?

Yes, it works fine in replayer. I see that it even works during the game as it is supposed to work (all the stats are updated each hand), but in a bit strange way. All those stats connected with limping are updated, but i can see it only if i manually point the cursor to some stat, then i see relevant stat. If i don't do it and i play a new player, there is a dash, as there are no hands for this stat.

That's a bug that was

That's a bug that was introduced in 4.11.3. You can downgrade to 4.11.2 if that version worked fine for you. If you had trouble with 4.11.2, then you can try 4.11.6, which is the current PT version at the time that I write this. If none of those options work, then the best course is to open a support ticket with PokerTracker.

Would you mind posting here to let us know whether versions 4.11.2 or 4.11.6 fixed the problem?

Ok, problem solved, Serge, thanks a lot! I upgraded to Pokertracker 4.11.6 and problem disappeared. As long as i know it's beta version, but everything works fine for me now.

I didn't have Pokertracker version 4.11.2, i remember i didn't update my Pokertracker for a while, so don't know what version i actually had before. The problem appeared when i had to upgrade to v4.11.3, cause the version i had didn't support CoffeeHUD anymore.

Have you attempted a cache rebuild? From the main PT4 screen, select as follows: "Database", "Database Management", "Rebuild Cache", "Full Cache Rebuild".

Please let us know if that fixes it for you.
