Blog.husng.com Continues With a Variety of Poker and Non Poker Related Material

Recently on our HUSNG blogs, Flippetyflop gives us an update into his trials at the $500 buyin level, a step up from his usual stakes. He ends on an alcohol fueled note, complete with pictures of a yet unknown hyper turbo regular being carted back to his hotel by numerous friends. RyPac13 attempts to clarify his sex vs poker buyin posts on 2p2 into a more coherent argument on his blog, Katipo breaks in his new blog with a report on his experience on the Black Chip Poker skin of the Merge Network and Mrbambocha continues to churn out quality posts, most recently discussing motivation, with a 10 minute embedded video on the subject.

Look for even more entries in the future, as blog.husng.com continues to grow.

I was hoping to have one

I was hoping to have one sooner, but Flippety has been fairly busy in his life. I believe the first one went over well in his mind, it certainly was a good addition if member feedback and my own judgement are a factor. His blog entry last week may have summed it up best though:"Sorry that it’s been almost a month since my last update but I’ve been focusing on getting settled in my new home, and trying to get myself into a bit of a more normal eating and sleeping routine. I’ve found it really hard to put in any sort of meaningful volume over the past three months or so just due to feeling fatigued and tired a lot of the time. There has been days when I’ve been waking up at 9am after a decent 10 hour sleep, having breakfast and then feeling so tired that I’ve had to go back to sleep and have another nap. After speaking with my doctor I’ve made a conscious effort to consistently eat more healthy, limit the amount of alcohol I drink on nights out and have more of a routine to my lifestyle. I find myself sometimes as a poker player caring more about how much money I am winning/losing at any given time to the detriment of more important things in my life such as health and my family.  One of the greatest advantages of our profession is that we don’t have to adhere to the ”rules” that most people in society follow, however I’ve learnt that without some sort of structure or pattern to our lives we are only hurting ourselves."So, we have to be patient, obviously I'd love to see a flippety video tomorrow, and a Lotte Lenya video the next day, then Mers, then PHMERC, then Heybude, Chadders, Cog, etc. but the truth is these things often go in spurts. One month somebody will have some extra time, motivation or comfort to do multiple videos. The next two months they may be running bad, off schedule, busy or just not in the mood. Given the audience and high level of standards we have for heads up sit and gos (being a specialty that releases more vids from better players per month than every other site does for HUSNGs combined), I definitely see the coaches less eager to make a video any time, any place. The positive of that is that you don't see coaches really "mailing it in" with boring, lazy videos. But the negative is that sometimes there is a long break between videos from specific coaches. The best solution I have found is to expand the players we receive videos from. That only solves the consistent amount of quality videos on the site from month to month though, and doesn't really address long breaks from anybody's favorite instructor or two. I'll keep hounding guys though, and I can say that we both pay people very competitively, even with a roster this large, and we also are as flexible as we can be with time frames and schedules for players.A little long, but that accurately explains what goes on behind the scenes and how I've chosen to approach it on my end.
