No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter BTNAntoshko911590 BBHero1410  Effective Stacks: 47bb Blinds 15/30 Pre-Flop (45, 2 players) Hero is BB Antoshko91 raises to 90, Hero calls 60 Flop (180, 2 players) Hero bets 120, Antoshko91 calls 120 Turn (420, 2 players) Hero bets 300, Antoshko91 calls 300 River (1020, 2 players) Hero checks, Antoshko91 checks Final Pot: 1020 Antoshko91 shows Hero shows Antoshko91 wins 1020 ( won +510 ) Hero lost -510 its early in the match no reads so far he 3 bet me once 1 hand before i decide to just flat because i dont feel comfortable to play these small pps oop in a 3 bet pot on the flop i decide to donk and if he raises me shove over him. should i go for a c/r here at this moment of the match i dont know if he is aggressiv or not but these is a board i wouldnt c bet and i dont want to see him cb.i fire the turn again since i want to stay aggressiv. here i am not sure i doubt he will fold a six or a pp above but i highly doubt it he would just call the flop with these hands. so the turn is kind of a blank it brings a second flushdraw but otherweise nothing changed this much.  so i bet for protection since i dont see worse calling me on the turn except draws.the river brings an ace which i dont like this much hands like a2,a5 or the nut fd catched up but all other draws missed.i decide to check and see what he does. i doubt he will value bet a six here. so if he bets here his range is most likely 2 pair+ or he is bluffing his missed draws. I think his tp hands and overpairs he would play on this flop agressiv so his range is almost all bluffs.lucky for me he checks behind. what you think about the hand and my thoughtprocess?

Well I looked at the hand and

Well I looked at the hand and thought it was fairly standard as I thought you were in position, but then I noticed you were not.I think the problem is that you are oop with not a great hand. It just always going to be hard playing a hand like that oop.Even 6X is doing well against you.So it is always going to end up messy like that.A check raise apears stronger than a donk and is more likely to get folds. In this case I think a good size check raise would of induced his open ender with a back door flush to shove and you woiuld of been in good shape. But a lot of his shoving range is doing pretty good against your pair with an open ender.A donk appears weak to many and he will float with overcards that whilst don't have better equity than you they are more likely to take down the pot since you are oop. It would of been hard to call a bet/raise on the Q and the A whilst oop with pocket 5s.By leading you took away the initiave of the button, so maybe you could of betted less to see your draws cheaper? Maybe donk half pot then lead turn half pot and save some chips? Also gets value from smaller pairs.

According to pokerstove if

According to pokerstove if you assume villian opens approx 70% of hands then you have about 70% equity against his range.4,749,030  games     0.234 secs    20,295,000  games/sec Board: 6s 3s 4cDead:   Hand 0:  30.742%   29.31%  01.43%         1391822      68124.50   { 22+, A2s+, K2s+, Q2s+, J2s+, T2s+, 93s+, 84s+, 74s+, 63s+, 53s+, 43s, A2o+, K2o+, Q3o+, J5o+, T6o+, 96o+, 86o+, 76o } Hand 1:  69.258%   67.82%  01.43%         3220959      68124.50   { 55 } Check/shove or a biggish check/raise in my opinion as this hand will get progressively harder to pay on most turn and river cards.Also a bonus if it gets checked all the way down.  222

You'd need to analyze his

You'd need to analyze his shoving range and make some assumptions about his check raising range, calculate the fold equity to really determine if a check raise is better than a lead here.I do like your thought process with the lead, but off hand I honestly can't say if a check raise is better in this particular spot.  I really suspect that the lead is a better play and once you do lead I really like your turn and river thought process here, particularly the turn spot, which many players will get too passive on and miss some clear value.I say good hand, but take the time to analyze the flop check raise, it'll give you a good feel for similar situations in the future.  My experience is really telling me that your lead is better here, especially with so many unknown variables and no clear massive upside to me (I think leading and playing the turn and river with that thought process is a pretty strong and profitable way to play this hand).
