11bb deep - raise or call a lead with tpwk + a gutter, limped pot ip.

A buddy sent me this hand and am wondering what others think (specifically about the flop raise).Reads on villain:- they donked eary on a 677 flop and called a raise/called own to the river with 86o-  not folding to a lot of cbets, and liked to 3bet OOP but didn't raise much IP- in not punishing limps- doesn't lead flops a lot in limped pots but does occasionally Full Tilt Poker $2 + $0.15 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t30/t60 Blinds - 2 players - View hand 1055343DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History ConverterHero (BTN/SB): t2295 38.25 BBsBB: t705 11.75 BBsPre Flop: (t90) Hero is BTN/SB with 6 7Hero calls t30, BB checksFlop: (t120) 3 4 6 (2 players)BB bets t90, Hero raises to t240, BB raises to t645 all in, Hero calls t405Turn: (t1410) 2 (2 players - 1 is all in)River: (t1410) J (2 players - 1 is all in)Final Pot: t1410My Take on the hand is this: I kind of want to say flat his lead as we have tp but unsure if we want to get it in if we rr (do to our kicker strength). Due to us being in position and effective stacks, it will be easier to get it in by the flop and control pot size (bet if he decides to check the turn). Also, a raise here might fold out his 3x and 4x. However, with effective stacks being short, our tp hands are a lot stronger and he may be more inclined to spazz/shove with 4x, 3x and 5x. If we call, there could be a lot of turn and river cards that kill our action if villain does have a weaker pair and he will be more likely to get it in on the flop with a 5.So, I think on this texture at these effective stacks, raising his lead is better?

Worst case, I think hero has

Worst case, I think hero has 50.399% equity here against this range:88-22,A6s-A5s,K6s-K5s,Q6s-Q5s,J6s-J5s,T6s-T5s,96s-95s,86s-85s,75s+,63s+,53s+,43s,A6o-A5o,K6o-K5o,Q6o-Q5o,J6o-J5o,T6o-T5o,96o-95o,86o-85o,75o+,63o+,53o+,43oI think he is likely call any of those hands, and it's great if he folds any of them and you win the pot straight away.I think a flat here would be bad, as stacks would be 465 after you call with a pot of 300. The only way hero could get allin on the turn without a huge overbet is if Villain bets again. Lots of cards could fall to kill the action or hit a hand that he may have folded to your shove. If hero has any fold equity here, I think he needs to use it. If not, Villain is getting it in about even at best. I think if you flat, any hands that fold to your flop raise will probably check-fold the turn anyway, unless they have improved to beat hero. These hands would need to spazz a good percentage of the time (over 50%) to make flatting correct. After saying all this, unless villain is super-passive both preflop and postflop and allows you to win pots with a single stab when missing, I would open-fold 76o 11.75bb deep.

Thanks Mr Monkeytilt. Qattack

Thanks Mr Monkeytilt.Qattack - for your range I think normally villains will be shoving Ax, and 22-88 over the limp. He may not with some of the Kx hands in your range as he seems kind of passive and hasn't been attacking limps.Agree with your reasoning that flatting would be bad... but my initial thoughts flattting would be better except for effective stack sizes. Kind of a standard spot but just wanted to make sure.

I think that is pretty

I think that is pretty standard. I would be pretty happy to get top pair in there. Top pair-gutshot-overcard is always a get it in for me at 12BB.He could be leading with anything there as just about anything has equity on that board yet dosnt have a hand, therefor people bet as a way of securing their equity and not having to fold to a bet from you in position.
