Early days

Chadders0 began playing poker in early 2007 with small mtt's at his university's poker society.  Initially drawn by the game by its mix of gambling psychology and numbers he played at every oppurtunity he could. It wasn't until late 2007 when he moved out of uni halls and was no longer subject to pesty firewalls that he really delved into the online world. His early days were that of any semi intelligant fish, a series of break even plays where upswings were attributed to skill and downswings to bad luck. "I was such a donk back in the day, I remember doing stupid stuff like jumping into $3/6 limit games for one round and thinking it was a viable method of making consistent money. It's not all bad though, I was playing most days a week, and although I didn't realise most of the mistakes I made at the time, it was all those hands that ultimately led me to the player I am now".

HUSNGs

Chadders0 had always preffered games with action, tending to short hand games most of the time, but ultimately there was only one game where you could viably play every god damn hand you were dealt, and that was heads up. Husngs were always preferred over cash, "With husngs there is a guarentee that money will change hands, I wanted to win or lose and never get hit and run". In early 2009 Chadders0 confidence got the best of him and he decided to quit his part time job as a sandwich artist at Subway (yes we really get called that!) and  try and make a few bucks on the side playing husngs  instead.

His early days were that of little success, "I think I probably made less than $6k in my first year, and I probably ran good. I played $20 turbos on stars forever and never even held my own at the $30's."  Despite moderate results he clocked his fair share of husngs and experience began to show in the end despite little effort to study. "I plodded along playing $20 turbos, now and then going bust and rebuilding a roll from fpps. After leaving university, despite sub par results I decided I wanted the poker life and held out on getting a job. In hindsight I know I wasn't even close to ready, and if I'm being honest I struggled a lot in that first year relying on poker as my sole income. I spent little time studying and always just assuming I was a winner, I was such a mental fish, I once even tilted so hard that my neighbours called the police and reported a domestic disturbance. " Chadders0 slowly worked  his way up the stakes, and in March 2011 was one of many $55 husng turbo fish regs on FTP.

A chance encounter with Jacktheshipper intially got Chadders0 into hyper turbos, initially sceptical of their potential for profit he dipped his feet in at first at the $20 level and tried to collect a meaningful sample, he found out he was profitable, but variance was a bitch.

BOOM

In April chadders0 was playing exculsively hyper turbos discussing strategy occasionaly with JacktheShipper to get him started, (who literally wouldn't stop spamming him with ev graphs and quotes of mersenneary greatness). "I got to the point where I was just fed up of mediocre results, and with JTS constantly going on about mers' fast track programme I thought it would be a good time to start putting more effort in, treat poker like a job and try to be the best player I could be." He joined the fasttrack programme and got a stake to play $50 hypers on FTP, at which point it all fell into place. In his first month he made $10k playing just $50 hypers and topped the highest limit husng leaderboard on FTP. "Yeh I ran pretty good, but I was still stoked with my ev adjusted roi of 2% 4 tabling. I was also really lucky as far as FTP dooms day is concerned, with staking we took profits out weakily so I only lost a nominal amount with the fall of FTP." He moved to pokerstars and their $60 hypers and proceeded to crush them for a 3% roi 4 tabling over a decent sample:

"It was nice to finally be able to buy the stuff I wanted, even if it was just 15 plain white tshirts, a blender and enough bacon to last a year". Chadders0 now puts 98% of his volume in at hyper turbos at the 60-200 stakes.

Hyper turbos for beginners

"I got a bit fed up of just playing poker and wanted to branch out a bit into coaching. I had learnt a bunch about hyper turbos in the recent months but it was mostly at the hands of mers' private forum. I was kind of surprised that there wasn't any consolidation of material that would help beginning players or players transitioning from other formats of poker into starting hyper turbos, so I decided to make it myself."

(insert course description)

Half way there

Despite moderate grinding success Chadders0 still acknowledges he has a long way to go, and says he will probably be dedicating his forseeable future to mastering hyper turbos as best he can. He also involves himself in the non playing poker side of poker, on top of his recent video series he was also an alpha tester for upcoming pokertracker 4 software where he was responsible for voicing the needs of husng players.
