My Background:

I have been playing HUSNG's professionally for 2 years now and over that time I have spent a lot of time learning the game and moving up through the stakes. I currently play the $200-$550 level. The core to my success has really been my focus on constant learning; whether that be watching videos, reading and discussing hands in strategy threads, or talking to/listening to friends about HUSNG strategy. I believe that in today's poker climate that if you're neglecting the need to be constantly improving and thinking critically about your game, that it will be very hard to succeed.

Recently, I have recently completed my Business Degree at the University of Newcastle (Australia), majoring in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. A key focus of my education has been the ability to structure training and development programs. A lot of the key concepts in structuring and working on development of individuals can be carried over to my poker coaching.

I have always enjoyed coaching and the satisfaction I get from helping others out, as well as the friendships I have made from it. I find that coaching keeps me sharp and constantly thinking about the game and in turn I do like to put a lot of energy into my students.

Coaching

Before I ever take any student on, I will always discuss what the student expects from me as a coach and what they  wish to gain from the coaching. We will also discuss what they have already achieved in order to make an honest assessment in skill levels.

Furthermore, I do want to add that once I take a student on, I am often available outside of booked times to discuss things here or there. There will be times I am busy (grinding/coaching), but if I am free I will always take the time to help out where I can. My focus is on you improving as a player.

Structured Lessons: I have put together a series of structured lessons based mostly around theoretical concepts that apply to HUSNG's. In saying this, it is not all theory, there are other elements based around the theory (to try to not make it too boring ). These types of lessons are best suited for a beginning or low stakes players looking to start beating the games. I have trialled my lessons on other students to ensure that the content is both acceptable and effective.

While it is possible to do individual lessons, my structured lessons are best booked as a package where we cover all topic areas. See below for rates and the package cost.

Non-structured: This is generally for any player from beginner to proven winner. This is often specifically tailored to the students desire at the time, and I am always open to discuss the techniques that the student prefers. My main goal in non-structured coaching is to work on overall strategic improvement, leak-finding, expanding your thought process, as well as specific conceptual discussions.

Hand History-Reviews: I am willing to do this for any player, but if I am booked up on my other coaching then this may be unavailable.

Video Reviews: Again, if i am booked up this may not be available. You can send me through a video of 30-40 minutes one-tabling and I will go over the video and do a voice recording of my thoughts the same as a HH-review would work. This is pretty useful for the fact that I can see timing and game-flow while it is happening.

The end product will usually come out at around an hours worth of commentary.

I will only be taking on a certain number of students at a time and non-structured coaching will be the main preference at the moment.
