DaGr1nder Attempts to Make $10,000 at the $55 Turbo Level in Just 30 Days

April 05, 2011 - PokerStars $55 + 2.50 level regular DaGr1nder is set to begin his $10,000 in 30 day challenge.  The challenge originated on the twoplustwo heads up sng forum, where DaGr1nder racked up $8,000 in action against him completing this challenge, to his $2,000 on winning the challenge.  All valid games in this challenge must be played at the $55 + 2.50 buyin level.

DaGr1nder has a history of similar prop bets, including two failed attempts in 2011 at winning $6,000 in 30 days at the $55 level.

"I was motivated to start this prop bet because I haven't done too well in [previous prop bets], so I wanted to redeem myself a little bit," said DaGr1nder.  "I hadn't prepared myself very well [in the previous prop bets], I ended up not putting in the volume needed to win and tilt was another factor that made me fail."

When asked about his chances of winning the challenge, DaGr1nder responded, "I think I have a good shot at winning.  I just have to play my best, avoid playing when tired or not in the mood to play.  I'm very confident in my game, so putting a lot of volume in will probably be the hardest thing about this challenge.  But I think the amount of action I have riding on [the bet] will be enough for me to dedicate myself to grind for 30 straight days."

DaGr1nder has also been involved in more personal challenges with other HUSNG regulars in the past,  including lanfear23, leo2222, spedukass and snorer.  DaGr1nder explains, "Half of [the challenges] were personal, my ego gets the best of me sometimes.  All it takes is a little bit of trash talk to set me off.  The other half was just me wanting to challenge myself to play the same person over a specific amount of games.  I wanted to see how I would adjust to them and how they would adjust to me as well.  If I got crushed in one session, I'd review some of the games to see what I did wrong or what I could improve on.  Basically, I just wanted to improve."

HUSNG.com will be following this challenge with updates as interest warrants.  The challenge will begin in the next few days, look for a post in the comments section of this news post detailing the official start of the challenge.

Profit challenges such as DaGr1nder's challenge have not been rare in recent months.  Rumnchess recently attempted a challenge of his own and challenges in general have increased since twoplustwo added a poker goals and challenges forum to their long list of heavily populated forums.
