Hand vs IamTHORRRR

Hey Ryan,
First off big fan of the site really enjoy the new hyper packages. Im IamTHORRRR from bcp. On that hand you posted my thought process when you checked the river was to jam which was a pot size bet. Was thinking it looked like a bluff or nuts bet hopefully to get called light by btm pr/ A high type hand.Thought you couple possible put me on like a 78,34,74 something like that but was also thinking that I could possibly get some Kxs to fold out and wouldnt have to chop. Since my line coule of been a 6 very easily. I know it would be hard to get a Kx to fold out but vs some opponents I could see it happening. Anyways thats what I was thinking that hand. If you ever want to discuss hands you can add me on skype Arkwings33. I really enjoy talking about hands and different strategies. Gl at the tables!

When I saw that an opponent

When I saw that an opponent had posted in here, one that I had posted a hand about, I kind of thought "oh shit, I probably called them a fish."
Luckily, I think you're the one opponent I respected that I actually named (I've played a few other good players too by now, though haven't named them).
Looking back at the hand, I don't know what else to say other than you played the hand in a way that my perception was definitely not you having a weak K, or really any K, so it definitely worked in your favor, though I'm not sure you were putting a ton of 5x into my range there either.
Your thoughts are interesting, though it is kind of funny to think about folding Kx or hope to get a call from A hi ;) You just want it to be good if I'm weak or good if I'm a station, you want it all!
I'll give you an add, thanks for posting.

2 Day Update

Didn't play too much last two days, mostly games against some regulars, good and bad. Discovered a new reg who might be fairly good overall. Found a few potential weak points, and while he doesn't chat, he sits two lobbies and likes to rematch, so that should lead to some future matches.
The reg that knows about this thread and I played some games tonight. Already had him on skype, so we had some good games and analysis after the games.
Here's a picture of our new little brick patio in the backyard, before and after. We plan to put a little canopy over that. While there is a lot of sun, and it can get hot in the summer, there is no humidity really, so it's almost always comfortable here in the shade. It'll be nice to setup a few chairs and maybe even a fan under the canopy. I finished putting big 50lb blocks around the front yard today, making a border so we can put some plants around that. I'll throw up some pics when the plants are in ground and the front deck is painted (hopefully by the end of the weekend).
World Series kicks off tonight, anyone going? I think I'll miss it again this year, always seems to be something going on when WSOP is going on, and since I wouldn't really plan to play in anything anyways, I don't make WSOP a priority. Vegas is friggin hot in June too.

Well played Barrin!
Played a bit tonight. Had a weird issue where I couldn't unregister, it kept saying you cannot unregister. Then in the lobby it was showing up as 0/0 registered but when you clicked the match I was still in there. Took 15 minutes to sort that out and it's early/late so just calling it quits.
I'll have to make a donation for We Are Poker - We Give Back for May. Probably only a few bucks out of the 1% pledge so I'll just make a minimum of $20 or something every month. I haven't figured out what I should donate to, will have a look later this week.
My contractor took my shovel home with him, so my yard work is stalled. I've been bogged down with financials, taxes, house stuff and probably need a fully motivated day to kill that stuff so I can move forward.
I randomly got 1% of Carryhero (Dan P.) in the WSOP 3k shootout. He seems to be doing well too, so hope he goes super deep. The ceiling on that is probably 1.5k if he won outright, get it!

Had a nice sessiong going,

Had a nice sessiong going, took a short break then a server restart/outage for 1+ hours ended my day. Some really fun play. Had this one opponent that was triple barreling air all day. He didn't catch for a few games. Then he double barrels, and checks behind AT on AQxxx (1 or 2 suits, no 4 card straight) board on the river. I had been looking him up as light as K hi and getting there. It was so great to see that solid top pair check back the river, just made my night.
Also played a guy with a name like "fufufggt." He was surprisingly not one of the three worst players of the night (I'd of bet he would've been based purely on the name).
Been watching some boxing matches on youtube, there are a lot of fights and even more highlights. I look forward to this fall, when there are several great looking fights. Mayweather will be interesting, for sure, but nothing to me suggests he won't win handily again. If the fight is really -250 I'll actively look for someone to take my action and I'll put it on Mayweather all day. A more interesting match is Bradley vs Marquez. I really think Marquez is likely to knock Bradley out. I really like Bradley, but he leaves himself so wide open and he engages strong punchers even though he is not a strong puncher himself. I'll be rooting for Bradley, but unless I think Marquez has lost his power and skill (possible, he's old), I think Marquez by knockout is likely to be a good bet. Rios vs Pac Man should be good too. I haven't seen Rios fight yet, but I'll youtube him later this week and see. He fought this guy from Denver, Alvarado, twice recently, and they split those two fights. Alvarado is fighting next in Denver, so I'll definitely make sure to see that. I want to say I'm forgetting a fight or two this fall as well. Oh, Matthias vs Garcia. I need to watch some Garcia footage on youtube, because Matthias looks devastatingly strong and tough to fight. Andre Ward doesn't have a fight yet and Klitchko's big fight vs the undefeated Russian guy isn't scheduled yet.

Yesterday's session went

Yesterday's session went well. I'm feeling pretty good about my game and really want to focus on upping the volume.
Went hiking today, too tired to play any. Here are some pics (up in Boulder again).

The one below this is a path on the rocks you have to walk across. You'd walk just to the right of the tall tree in the middle left background after the rocks. Nice change of pace.

This is what it looks like to the left (downhill) of the above picture.

Have a good night everyone!

Ran well vs a weaker reg

Ran well vs a weaker reg tonight, which made up most of my session.
I heard PT4 fixed the Winning tournament summary issue, so I'll have to get that going too. I wonder if I can get old HHs, because BCP only lets you save the last 30 days it seems. I try to make it more but it won't let me! Will find out tomorrow or Sunday.
Since the buyin issue is sorted, no reason not to play all sorts of buyins now, so I should get some more action and maybe mix in a buyin below and above when it is slow action.
It'll be difficult to play tomorrow, I think I am checking out one of the seemingly neverending stream of new breweries with some friends tomorrow night, and filling up some new planters with dirt so we can plant a bunch of vegetables and herbs, the latter which I'll set aside some space to grow stuff specifically to add into the beer I brew.

Have played just a little bit

Have played just a little bit since last update (I think down rake). With some new video packs coming together, warm weather work on my house and general busy work on HUSNG.com, I haven't had much time to set aside for playing. It just means I need to find more ways to efficiently delegate some of the other work keeping me busy, but I will get there.

Hi.

There hasn't been any time to

There hasn't been any time to play this week.
I just finished designing the event cards for the first edition of my first board game. I just sent the card text to my friend who can put them on templates, then I will send them into the board game printer to get the game made (the board has been designed and ready to send in for awhile now). I should have the first edition in my hands around July 1st. I'm pretty excited about the game, though a bit cautious, as I'm half prepared for the prospect of an intense testing and retooling phase before I'm happy with the game. I won't know until I receive the first copy and can play it to death and see how the balance and gameplay holds up.
I've also been finishing up yard work. Have some family visiting us Monday, so getting the house, inside and out, looking tip top, has been a priority. I'm hoping to get the garden beds ready tomorrow for plants. I have pride in my home and everything, but it'll feel good when we're done with the yard finally, as it'll only need a little bit of work each year, rather than "a bunch at once" which we're doing now to get it the way we want. Should have this little outdoor patio tent thing setup tomorrow. I set up a pair of rain barrels today, to collect rain from the gutters (to water the plants I hope to grow in the garden soon).
I also managed to visit two of the new breweries near me this last week. Both were pretty impressive. I haven't found time to break in my new brewing equipment yet. I still need to figure out a few small odds and ends parts for the system before I can brew. But I think beer #1 will be a big strong stout. If I do a 5 gallon batch, I can take 1.5 gallons and separate it out and add some whiskey soaked oak to age for a bit. And maybe even heavily drop hop another 1.5 gallons of it, and then leave 2 gallons of the regular recipe. That's the rough plan for batch #1.
As far as poker goes, I've been reviewing even more of the zZzTILT/phl500 and Sentin hyper packs. They're coming along nicely. Hoping to get Sentin out before July, and the zzz/phl pack out August 1st. The latter would be shocking if it weren't out by August 1st.

Thanks for the bump.The

Thanks for the bump.
The board game is complete. I have a small 3Dprinter (really just for learning, printrbot simple), but will likely rent a better one at a local hackerspace in the next month or two so I can design some pieces that actually look good (using battleship markers for gold takes a little bit ouf of the game). It went on the backburner after I completed it, because I've become and investor/owner in a gaming and puzzle business, so any ideas I have for things like games has gone towards that instead.
The premise of my game is fairly simple, it's a thief game. It works with either 2 or 4 players, you move around the board up to X spaces (Map is made up of squares containing a road, house or river) on a road and then you rob a house (you have to rob each turn if you're not returning your stash). Various events happen when you rob houses (you steal valuables worth x gold, you get caught and lose your gold, or some of it, or you go to jail). There are two classes of neighborhood, the upper class is more risky but more rewarding too. Then each time you are successful on a robbery you place a red token on the house and nearby houses now draw from a different event card deck when you rob them (and are riskier). You take loot back to your safehouse, and once you drop it off (costing a turn) it is now safe. Once you get xx gold you win. That's the basic premise of the game. It's fairly simple and fun. There are a few other twists to it, and some optional rules. Once I can 3d print some fun pieces I'll play it more often, maybe bring it to some game nights.
Beer wise, it's been a mixed bag. The good: I've joined a homebrewing club after meeting a local brewer who is involved in it (and hosts a game night at his brewery). There's some great people there so I'll continue to go to that. I also scored a 38 out of 50 in a local competition with one of my better beers. That's a very good score, so that was great to see. However, the bad news is that I've had an issue with most of my beers, an off flavor that I haven't been able to figure out how to get rid of 100% yet. The positive is that I brewed about 6 beers in such a short timeframe that I wasn't looking for this flaw when I brewed most of my beers, so I haven't had a chance to try a few fixes yet. Once it warms up some more I'll brew another batch or two and see how it goes. I'm optimistic overall, it just sucks that the rest of my beer wasn't my better stuff (though casual craft beer drinkers don't notice the flaw, but the brewers sure do and it's the brewers I want to be saying "hey your beer is really good" because that's happened a few times and it's a really good barometer to "hey, I'm making really good beer.").
I haven't had time to play much poker. Been too busy with all of the above. I really would like to, as it's still very enjoyable to me, but every time I'm fresh I have a long list of stuff to do and by the time I do it I'm no longer feeling fresh and ready to play. Basically, I'm just too busy.
Been skiing a bit, hiking with my dogs and snowshoed with the dogs once as well. I plan to do some mountain biking and caving in particular this year. I haven't done either beyond a very basic level, so I can't wait to really get out there and challenge myself some.
