jk1f2: Dismantling A Loose Aggressive

For his third instructional video, jk1f2 faces an opponent that he describes as "loose, aggressive, and bad". Reviewing a hypers game at the $15 level on PokerStars, jk1f2 adjusts to this opponent quickly to start exploiting him. As with his prior videos, jk1f2's straight-forward and deliberate approach provides for an appealing video for players who are seeking to improve their grounding in fundamental play.

Low stakes hypers players seeking coaching should check out jk1f2's coaching page.

J3o c/minr hand

When villian limps on the BU and you flop 2pair on AJ3tt, why did you decide to x/r? wouldn't it be better to just flat and let him continue to bluff if he has air especially if he's loose bad aggro? if he has an Ax hand or some draw he'll mostlikely bet twice anyways on turn and I don't see what part of your range would be x/r bluffing this flop anyway that folds any value hands

I like your videos, you are

I like your videos, you are very logical with your play. As above I don't get the J3 hand at all though. Care to explain in more depth why you didn't just call?

Overbet is rarely a pure bluff. This is the first game against this opponent and so far he has demonstrated that he is loose. This overbet is the first aggressive move from him. His fold to check raise gives us the read that he is also making big bluffs.

So I expect him to have a pair or a flush draw and check raise for value.
