JSpazz: The NBI experiment, week 1
This one'll be short. As I said in my last post, I decided to take a shot at 50bb shallow no-blind-increase HUSNGs. I was going to play using a 15BI bankroll management method, which should correspond to something like third-Kelly, and then I'd re-evaluate after the end of the week. In total, I played 19 tournaments during 11 hours and 20 minutes, which should correspond to something like 35 minutes per tournament or 1.7 tournaments per hour. If you deduct time spent waiting for tournaments, it's 31 minute per game, but that's because I got into a reg war with a massive multitabler (+++EV but matches take >1 hr each), so I imagine the wait time should be higher if I only played fishes. I also had a day where I sat at a $5.50 and a $11 and then waited like 20 minutes for a game and ultimately gave up.
Unfortunately, I ran like crap during this week ending 5.5 BI under :( However, assuming a 20-30% ROI is attainable for mortal people, this should prove to be a lucrative endeavor, so I decided to continue the experiment. Stay tuned for updates on next Sunday and maybe before if I come up with something interesting outside poker.

I'd be interested to see what your long term ROI is in these. I'm kinda on the fence on them. On the one hand I think you will have a nice ROI but on the other hand the though of an hour or two HU match doesn't sound too thrilling. Good luck and keep us informed on how your doing.

lol sleepaments thank God I play 50BB shallow ones. I had a 1 1/2 hour match yesterday though and I lost. I wanted to kill myself afterwards but I got sat by someone who must've thought he was playing blackjack so I won 2 matches to finish the day in the black

lol so funny. Im a newb and entered one by mistake.So after 30 mins of telling him my hole cards (showing them with every fold) and his folding everytime while he waited for Aces i just quit the game. Luckily it was a poxy buyin i will be alot more careful in the lobby from now on. What made me laugh was he wasnt even multitabling and took ages over all his folds. I wanted to kill him and myself!
