Skatesblog: Trying Again

Hi everyone. Sorry to my non-poker-playing followers... there's a lot about poker in this post...
This is just a filler blog so that I bust my slump (ha...) and get posting again. No real updates in my world. I've had a rollercoaster month or two, making close to $80k shortstacking cash games running about 15k above all-in EV (most of this is HU against shortstackers... it's really funny... they all act like they are the best because they work out all of their pokerstove ranges, but most of them have been pretty atrocious). I'm stuck ~$30k in HUSNGS running a nice 45k below all-in EV. I made a whole bunch in hyper turbos (20-30k?), but I lost a grand total of $43,000 USD today in the hypers to the main event and going AA<JJ and AJ<AT to go from 40k to 0 in the $5k ME. I figured I'd take a shot in the hypers since the opportunity won't come up again for another year. Apparently, it just wasn't my day. Run bad at high stakes much? That and practically everyone I have action of today busted, including some people in the $5k ME and someone in the Borgata $3500. Soooooo yea. Go Paulgees. One time.
That said, I'm going to EPT London October 1st-8th, so if anyone is gonna be out there, give me a shout, especially if you can help me move money on and off-line.
Also on a pseudo-serious note... If you live in the UK and want to stake me for 25/50+ PLO or NLHE (which I assume will be uncapped) at EPT London, PM me. There's virtually no chance it will be tough, and I don't really want to play anything 10k+ deep on my own money. I also anticipate having issues getting access to all of the money I'll want to while I'm there since I only have funds in American banks and I don't want to carry too much on my person.
Very brief side-note:
It's kind of lame to hear how sick player x or player y is at poker when they post their lifetime graph of 130k hands. 130k hands is nothing. At all. Put in a 3ptbb edge at 50/100 into a variance simulator (avg stdev is something like 140 BB/100 for PLO, I don't know for NLHE) and run it.
More interesting side-note:
As your stdev gets really large with respect to a finite edge, the probability of making money over any fixed amount of hands approaches 50%. If you intend to play a total of 100k hands of PLO over the course of a year. What you are doing is gambling, not grinding. Similarly, me playing the hypers to the main event was gambling, not grinding. Time to get back to grinding.
