Hey great video,
I had a question about this hand that happens around the 11th minute. Yo usay you check tyour flush on the river because he will have 2 pair often and that he will bet and call a shove. After he checks and shows down A8 for a pair of Aces do you still think your line was optimal. The reason I m wonderign this is because if villain is not capable fo bettign top pair for value then we really are gettign value when checking only from 2 pairs, sets and maybe air sometiems but un likely against this villain and we'll miss one bet from all his pairs. So i nthese situations against these opp. is checking really gonan be more profitable then jsut bettign and gettign one bet out of all (or msot) of his range that hits the board?

I'm happy with how I played the hand because I don't expect people to check behind top pair aces on a flop like this so it really should not be a large part of his range. When he flat calls my bet on the turn I'm expecting him to have KX, a low pair, or possibly a busted flush draw (like JTsx maybe). When he checks back the flop I expect him to have mostly hands like KX or pairs below the 9. These hands have showdown value but aren't getting much value from a bet so it isn't unusual to play them for pot control. I don't many specifics on how he played, but given that he isn't a very strong opponent I could see him having hands like 78o or JT as well where he just decided not to bet because he has what he perceives to be air. When he calls my bet on the turn I think that his range is primarily KX or something that busted a spade draw like 7x8s, JsTx, Js5x, or QxTs.
If he has just a naked king then I don't think that an opponent this weak will call anything other than a small to mid-size bet. Two pair or better I think is generally going to be a bet/call, although in hindsight I think that a raise from 200 to ~650 is probably better than just shoving completely over a bet. I'd be a little concerned that I might force out some two-pair hands if I shove while this deep.
In a nutshell, I don't think that you will run into AX very frequently when your opponent takes this line and I think that maximizing our value against two pair here holds significantly more equity then just trying to suck a small bet out of a hand like KX.
PS: I changed the screenshot for this video to reflect the hand we're talking about.

So because we can't count too many Ax hands in his range and we are not sure if he calls with his Kx hands this line is better. It makes sense now. Thansk for your in dept analysis. That's really useful.
