Time to put my cards on the table

I am currently playing $1 buy-ins.  I have had good results in Full ring SnG's, but want to play HU since it is easier to get a game.  My results so far in HU are pretty bad.

My aim is to be a winning player.  I have not really decided yet what that actually means.  At the moment I have no real interest in multi-tabling, but who knows what I will feel like doing in the future.

So my target:

Starting with a $70 Bank-roll from the 1st December I will aim to move up a level on the 1st of each month.

I must have 50 BI to move up.

First month should be ok, only require an extra $35, however, since I would describe myself as a losing player at the moment it might not be that easy.  Wish me luck.

New Month

Didn't go to plan.
Only made $5 dollars.  I have now got some coaching and I am trying to put in more games.  I feel that I am playing most hands well, but I can get carried away and play some pots to big.
The plus side of failing in the fisrt month is that I only need to make $25 dollars this month to reach my target.

Why I play.

My volume is not that high, only about 6-10 games a day at the moment.  Although it is my hobby my wife doesn't really like me doing it when she is up and we watch some boring TV together instead.
My game speed is Turbo and I use HM2.
The reason for the challenge is more about moving up the levels as a sign of progress, rather than a money making exercise.
The aim of the coaching is not to pay for itself, although I hope that is a positive side affect.  I can best say it is like when someone gets tennis coaching to play a better game with friends not to win a Grand Slam.
I understand variance quite well so the loses don't really get to me.  What is frustrating is making repeated mistakes.  Lately I have been going over my games after each one and reviewing each hand, making notes.  I will talk about these with my coach and hopfully sort out some common errors.

Thanks,
I will be in touch at some point.  It would be great to have someone to go over games rather than just hands with.
