RyPac13 Bonus Video 01 - $31.50 Regular Speed

"I wasn't happy enough with this video to post it as a regular video but I feel it has a lot to offer certain members and I'd rather put this up as a bonus than delete it." - Ryan
RyPac plays a $31.50 regular speed on Stars against an opponent who changes gears. For players new to regular speeds or having trouble making adjustments between the regular speeds and turbo speeds, this video is for you.

I have a problem with the hand he doubled through with late in the match - stacks were 2195 vs 805, you min raised the button at 25/50 blinds, with the comment that you would definitely call a shove in that spot.... You were pretty much in control of the match at that point, and your opponent clearly was leaking chips in some spots, I wonder why you would choose to gamble here when the best situation you are going to be in is a coin flip (as in the game), but you could easily be in big trouble (vs KJ for ex).

I probably was factoring in a lot of fold equity, meaning it's overall a pretty profitable play, even if I'm behind when I am called.
An extreme example would be if you were 15bb deep and you knew your opponent only called an AIPF with AA or KK and you held 27o. It would be a very profitable shove preflop but you would be in bad shape when he called, which would be rare.
It's also possible that I was incorrect in the hand, but usually when I am asked this people tend to forget or don't consider fully the amount of fold equity in the hand.
