August was quite the roller coaster ride for me.  Started the month off strong crushing the $84s and $105s and then min-cashing the FTOPS heads up event #12, where I completely owned Gavin Smith (mini-brag :D).  The hand I got knocked out on sucked, but was pretty standard.  I got all my chips in with QQ on a 247hhx flop.  Villain had AJhh so he had 11 outs (3 aces plus 8 hearts since one of my queens was a heart) which gives him ~40-45% equity I think.  Turn came a blank and river an A :(.  I was pretty bummed, I was playing my A game and my confidence was high.  Thought it might have been my time for a decent sized cash...sigh.  

Anyways, I kept grinding and made another $800 or so over the next week then stuff went wayyyy downhill.  I ran suuuper bad and had my first -$1k day.  I've never lost that much in a day, but it's probably best that I get that one under my belt as I continue to move up in stakes.

On a better note, I finally managed to meet my monthly volume goal of 300 games.  I definitely could not have done this without starting to play $55-110 turbos.  About half way through the month, I was behind pace so I decided to play turbos while I waited for action in the reg speeds.  Definitely a good choice.  Anyways, I finished the month with a 7% ROI and +$2k after rakeback and overall I'd say August was an "ok" month.  Heres a graph:/p>
