Hey guys, I just want to let you know we should thank dl184 (Derek) for letting me post his vid, and also let you know that this video was made for him specifically, so as i'm talking im talking directly to him, not to a general audience. There are alot of really creative lines in this video, and I think it should be food for thought for when you play someone you know is a solid thinking player. Derek is a very good player and thinks about the game far above the average player, so this is what allowed me to take the lines I did, so when you know somebody is pretty decent and thinking, maybe try to mix in some spots like these to really throw them off their game, especially in spots when there hand is really face up (like the Q92x2 board). If I regret anything in this vid it's my bet sizing on the river on the AKxQ9 board, his range was SUPER weighted towards Kx there and I absolutely leveled myself in my bet sizing by thinking he would adapt so quickly, when it's only my second overbet his range for calling really doesnt shift that much at all, so I should have just value towned there, my bet sizing is much better for balancing reasons, but I knew I would only be playing him one time, so in this context I much prefer to make the more +EV play as I dont need to think about future meta benefits of the play.

First of all the Q92x2 board, I would call the river 95% of the time but to be honest that overbet totally threw me man, it was a nice lil tricky play because you auto think that you hav spiked the 2 and are trying to get maximum value.. I was still v close to calling but having 15 seconds doesnt really help either! But overall nice play Bryan. Also my 4 bet was A9 beacuse I had a feeling that a 3 bet was coming as I think it was your first 1, usually that indicates strength but I knew you were gonna take an aggressive stance against me and I just had a feeling it would be weak, also as I hadnt 3 bet yet I knew my small 4 bet would get alot of credit. I had K10 on the board where you had Q9, yeah I think your right... 210 is a call, the overbet was just too much to make a hero call with 2nd pair. A8, its above your 3 bet range, made a move and you turn over a hand. Oh well... I enjoyed the vid anyway, some interesting spots for sure.

I really like the creative lines, especially the overbetting (even if it didn't work when you tried to get value for your 2pair).

yea, like I said, it was too early in meta for me to get value there with the 2pair, because his range is HUGELY weighted towards Kx, that one was my fault, and as I said in my earlier comment I totally leveled myself into overbetting instead of just betting 210ish where I knew I'd get value

anyways cool video, hopefully i'll play as imaginative as this all the time :), and hopefully i'll get on the ball on putting out more videos ASAP! ;p

I have not had a chance to really watch the video in detail yet but it sounds great. The audio is just perfect. Excited to see the whole thing later when I have time.

Could you please elaborate on which stats you like to use? Or perhaps you can just list what stats you have in line one and which you have in line two? Without abbreviations a beginner like me can get lost. Also I want to set my hud like you have yours. I hope this is ok to ask here.

sure no problem, tbh I just used the default Holdem Manager stats, I believe the top row is

VPIP,  %pots raise,  %pots raised first (button open)

and the bottom row is

agression frequency,  cbet %,  I dont know the 3rd one,   and # hands seen vs this villain

I think those are correct :), let me know if you need help using stats or anything from the hud, when you hover over each one it opens up more useful information, as I think you saw me do in the video
