Frustrating when you don't catch anything flop after flop after... I'm experiencing this currently and it's tilting the shit out of me. How do you deal with that streak of not catching anything for like 10 games in a row or so? You just call it a day?

I mean there is nothing you can really do, you just have to be confident that when your opponents are experiencing the same stretches of cards, they are going to start spewing, getting frusterated, and making alot of -EV plays, where as you can hang tough, keep a solid mindset, and just outlast it, you just have to keep your head straight and pick good spots, and know that adjusting poorly or spewing is never going to help, it's all anybody can do :)

How has it been going for you today anyway? I was watching you on Stars and FTP yesterday and you said you lost like 10k on FTP that day. Hope you made a good comeback today to get back in it :)

I find you vids the most informative btw. If you ever decide to make some 1100$'s i'd like to watch you play against Adonis (Livb) or diBasio at the 330$'s... if you can stand Adonis's chat abuse anyway :D

haha I ended yesterday -8k on FTP for a pretty brutal day, today was OK though and went back to just playing on stars. I've played a bunch of games against liv on stars (adonis112) and we're pretty close in record, he's up a few BI I think but ran pretty hot IMO :), we get along these days though, and don't battle much anymore, and dibasio is my really good friend so I doubt i'll be making any videos vs him anytime soon =]. But hopefully if we start doing coach v coach videos I can get some really good content going, and I wish I had recorded some of my 4 tabling sessions vs liv, cause there was a TON of meta going on and they were really interesting games IMO (this was like 4-5 months ago)

Glad to hear you've recovered from that :)

What do you think about railbirding btw? I've been spending the last two days or so just watching 330's, 550's, 1100's, 5500's (dibasio, croix, adonis, skilled, steve, you) on Stars... even though i can't see their holecards obv i think it's gonna help my game a bit in the long run. You think i'm just wasting time with that?

PrimordialAA says:

no, a ton of good players do this on a regular basis, this should get you used to frequencies vs opponents of different types, and that should help you get a feel for how to play them

Thanks for this vid Primo, I've been facing this exact type of opponent on FTP low to mid stakes, and it tilts me to no end. I have finally started limping more and cbetting less, but even still, some of them will attack like 50% of my limps, and it's very frustrating when I get no hands for like a day or two (been a pretty bad stretch for me lately). Anyway, like you said, just have to keep from spewing and just wait for good spots. I think I learned a lot more from a video where you ran cold against a kind of maniac than the ones where you ran hot against more passive opponents. Thanks.
