For those, who are crazy about making plans as I am, I decided to share personally made plan, which I use. Don't know if you will find it useful or not though. As for me it is very helpful in achieving the volume goals.

If you decide to use it, you should copy it and fill the columns @planned and @played (after you play it obv). All other stuff will be calc automatically, and the diagram also will be plotted automatically.

Feel free to use it, guys.

  122 October was tough in

October was tough in the end. There were a lot of science work that got me tired a bit. Also in the end of the month a lot of regs came to the lobby. So I decided not to plan much on the end of next month.

This is how I followed the plan

The real numbers from October hours list I took to construct the November plan and added 0.5 hour on each day:

Trip to the parents house is planned also next month (approximately 550 km), so one weekend will be out of poker.

Didn't expect this month to be normal in terms of EV and $, but it is more or less ok. Though it is normal in comparison with -EV month (see September for example), at the moment it seems that there are still a lot of areas to improve.

One year update

One year passed since I've wrote here my first post.

Now I'm 28 and I play $15 spins.

I'm a happy father.

I think it was a mistake in what I said that I'm a doctor of Physics and Mathematics. I've got only Master of Science in Phys. and Math., but I'm going to get the D.Sc. next 3-5 years, hopefully.

November 2016   129 Whatever

November 2016

Whatever I did this month....

You see result: 8 chips/tourn. Even tried to make 3 days break - didn't work. Meanwhile there were mistakes in gameplay I'm totally sure it is a variance. Cards distribution was just awful. Nevertheless, I'll try to focus on study more this month. How else I can increase my confidence?

  427Hey Hey

Hey guys,

Experiencing some struggles with poker at the moment. Even got back to $15s hypers - not super good news, I know. I started this year playing $15s hypers and end at the same point. I have got the experience though. Pretty sure I can beat $15s hypers quickly, and then will try to move up to spins again.

I started reading much. Now I'm reading the R.Dawkins's book about evolution proves. At the same time I learn genetics and nuclear physics, both of school and intermediate level. It is not so trivial in spite of having science degree in physics and mathematics. I call this learning process "preparing to explain the world to a child" ;)

  297 Frankly it was team

Frankly it was team decision, but I 'm happy with that. I was struggling at spins, that affected on mental game. There are also a lot of leaks to be improved in hu game. So I'm going to play hypers for a couple of months (as I expect).

Have to say that I'm really happy play hypers after playing spins)

Working on my mental game

Working on my mental game I've got some interesting points. One of the main sign of tilting (i.e. not A, and even probably not B game) is my reaction to river card. It doesn't matter if I lost or won, but when I feel like "my heart just made a great pump of blood to my brain" on the river card I know for sure - I'm under the attack of the tilt. Interesting here that I can't really get it under the control. More likely I just didn't find a way to do that. The reason of that attack to my brain (I'll call it so) is that I'm too concerned with the results (more with EV, less with $$$), at least I think so. In the Jared Tendler book this is described as a "wish to control a variance". I really like to make quick day reports, including such stats as # of tournaments, hours, adjusted chips, and $ won. Then they form cute month statistics, as a function of week day etc etc. I understand that I shouldn't make day reports ever, except hours and # of tournaments. But when I just imagine that I feel that I'm losing the control.

So now, I'm trying to experiment with making dayreports only on 2 stats: hours and tournaments, and then see how does it work. Nevertheless I'm not sure that I'll get rid of the brain attack by that. It is really hard to stay calm during a session. Any comments, peaces of advice, guys?

The baby grows really fast I should say. She learned how to laugh and smile - the most important thing in her todo list as a girl is done I think.

Upd: I found out a "mechanical" way to get rid of that, now I just can't see the board cards when went all-in and seems that it works. I knew about that feature, but didn't apply it, cause was sure that it is not for me. Time flies, things change.

You seem very disciplined and to me, this is the key to success. I have the same mental leak as you, I find Jared's term very accurate. Could you please share with me the tool that hides the board in all-in situations?
