Hey guys,

Sorry for not updating for the past 3 weeks or so. Here's what's been going on:

The first 3 months of 2009 have just been so-so, certainly not near the pace of what I was doing in 2008. A few reasons for this I think are the fact that I am a full-time student again after a 2 year hiatus from being in the classroom. Between that and playing on the soccer team, it is taking up quite a bit of my time. Plus I find I don't play good poker when I don't get a good night sleep, and many days during the week I am starting turning off an alarm earlier then I want to be. However, April brought a great heater, just in time considering tax season looming. I had a $40k week last week but will not see a penny of it as I had to wire all of it out and use it cover my taxes. Still though nice not having to tap into any savings to cover the taxes. I think I play best when I have something to play for, two years ago it was getting a car, last year saving up for a down payment on my house, and then it was covering the taxes (not exactly as fun as the previous 2). I really think I'm gonna start crushing though and feel confident I'll finish with a higher bottom line then I did in 2008. Right now I have my eye on trading in the BMW 335i for a M3 convertible so will reward myself if I can continue this heater.

Spring soccer has been going very well and it's fun to be back out playing in a more competitive environment then just mens leagues like I had for the past 2 years. I'm nearing getting back in my best physical shape and plan on really pushing it this summer by working out and running everyday. Saturday I had the misfortune of spraining my ankle though which will leave me on crutches for about a week. Basically I landed on someones foot after jumping up for a layup while playing basketball and then having to get taken to the ER and get an aircast put on. Definitely not too bad though, knowing I'll be fine in just a few days.

My 24th Birthday is this Thursday and I am gonna have a good party for it here at my house. Between a big screen in my living room and another in my basement, and a good room for beer pong setup in the basement, it should be an awesome time. Once I'm able to walk a little more comfortably I am gonna go pick up a grille to put on my patio too.

Besides that, not much has been going on. I'm finalizing my plans for the WSOP and look forward to bringing out a big crew with me for it and hopefully running good in the heads up tourney. Til next time, good luck at the tables!!
