Oh No :-(

Well the whole idea behind the challenge was to stop me tilting. That didn't work too well as I just tilted off most of my profits for the month 2 tabling regs until 3am and running like death. I'll give up on the challenge and just have a good think about how best to solve this problem. At the moment I'm feeling pretty low, all the poker skills in the world can't help you if you tilt away all your profits.

Hang in there buddy. You can try doing what I do atm. I have a notepad open, and whenever I make a mistake, I put a nice fat X in it. It doesn't matter if its tilt based mistake or not, and final outcome of the hand doesn't matter either. But when I see I'm lining up too many in too short period of time, I take a little break, slap myself, maybe review few stupid things I've done, etc.
And I find it very good because at any given moment I am aware of reasons why my graph goes up or down.

Come on cog. You know its just variance. Just play through it. You know your better then that!
Just have a look at SkaiWalkurrr and Bjoerni89 graphs. That always makes me feel good. "If they can do it, so can I"

Hi Cog,
Same thing used to happen with me also, when i make good profit playing reg speed games, and then tilt all profit playing HT (also increasing buy in trying to recoup). Now I have decided not to play HT as it makes me tilting. Just play reg speed (at least for a while) if you want to stop tilting. Also in no way we should increase buy in when loosing. Read once again Jared Tendler and Tommy Angelo (article "Breath Taking" is my favorite).
Most people become play worse when loosing, so for usual player yellow line becomes declining as green line declines, but it's not your case. Your yellow line is still at slite profit, so you still play well despite tilt. Just bad luck. HT is very dispersive. May be you overestimated your expected results after first several good days when you had 10% ROI, think such profit is not achievable in the long run for HT.
Thanks again for great 2 lessons abt 1 month ago, it helped me a lot. You are still good player and good teacher. Cheer up!

Sorry to see this, but you have to remain confident, your track record is too strong to let some short term variance and poor play impact your long term outlook and prospects.

That's always a shame and difficult to control after getting winded from a monster session. It reminds me of my cash game adventures: http://www.husng.com/content/how-suck-less-cash-games. To me, the most tilting factor is getting outplayed in really weird ways... like a fish bluffing me off a strong hand in a spot where I didn't expect it or someone calling me down with A high when I was sure they'd fold.
Anyway, on the bright side, the graph is of chips and not $. :D I'm sure you'll bounce back in no time.
