Mich P Rich :: PROPS!

So I've always said since getting into poker that I wasn't gonna be one to be prop betting constantly like an action junky... But I'm realizing how entertaining it can be now when you have a few bucks and some money-hungry friends lol.
Lat week I was out for a nature walk with Thuper, a good couple miles out in wooded/hilly terrain. On our way back, with maybe 3/4 mile to go, mostly all uphill, I propped him 3-1 (20$) that he couldn't carry 2 rocks of my choosing back to the car. They were pretty damn heavy and I didn't expect him to even last half the distance, but the fucker made it and now I'm down 60. I have pics on my phone that I can't get on the computer for some reason, but pretty hilarious seeing his face when we went around a bend and he realized he still had another big rocky hill to get over... lol probably worth the 60.
So being down 60 in props I had to figure out how to get even, and the way I've been eating lately and my exercise habits had me already thinking diet/ new routine. So being the genius that I am, I proposed to Thuper that if I could follow his strict diet of all natural/ organic and no wheat products, and lose a few pounds, over a span of xx days, he should offer up some dough (he's kind of challenged me before, but w/ money on the line now that's the incentive I needed).
So we settled on $265 for 17 days (starting today) no wheat, all organic when possible (I don't have to drive an hour to get an organic pepper if my local store only has regular), and shed 5lbs. The hardest part is the no-wheat - I mean wheat is in EVERYthing pretty much. Now when I want a sandwich I need a substitute for the bread.. Wrap? No. Rice-bread... yeaaaaa.... Stuff is NOT very good tasting lol. Other common foods with wheat; thickened soups, breaded/fried foods, chips... Basically everything that fills you up besides rice, beans and potatoes. Anyway, I think it's very doable, and I'm looking forward to developing a more healthy routine thru this. I'll also be walking/running/hiking daily, balling, etc.
I'll keep this updated if any of it is note-worthy.
Going to weigh in now!

Weighed in on Saturday - down 13/14lbs (right on the teeter). Ship!
Went out and bought a pizza that night and it absolutely destroyed me. Healthy living is the way to go..!

Bumped it up to 12lbs total, from 5, since it's just way too easy to shed 5lbs in 17 days.
I go to my parents house regularly they have a treadmill- doing ~2mi/day, eating better/less.. My mom's got an iTouch and its the nuts to have while working out. I've got this bet locked up I think.
This site looks soooo much cleaner now, btw. Good work guys.

Agreed on the "5 lbs" thing. I saw Primo mention it, and most people involved in sports especially wrestling will probably agree, it's incredibly easy to lose 5 lbs if you have to in a very short period of time.
Just make sure you don't lose too much weight too fast, I think that's not recommended at all by most experts.
Thanks for the site comments, much appreciated :)

Yea I mean we settled on 12 he was trying for 15... 12 seems like a good number and should be doable just by staying active and eating better.

Some of my good friends wrestled in high school and it was amazing what they could acomplish for weight loss in a couple of days.
