Mersenneary Super Turbos vs Mid Stakes Regular
Mersenneary plays NNNobodYYY, a solid midstakes reg, on Black Chip Poker. He opens the video by talking about the snobbishness of playing excessively balanced poker, and points out throughout the video why his opponent's tactics often lead to a lot more money against recreational players.

If you have a sn I've never seen with losing starts and we play a few matches, obviously I'm going to play you like you are a recreational player until I notice consitencies that lead me to believe otherwise. Cmon this is obv stuff. Like playing regs is easier cuz you know exactly what to do, its just often not very exploitable in superturbo structure. Like when they are in common shove spots you open shove weaker hands at 15 bbs and under, you minr aise trap the stronger ones, down to weak aces, jq against crazier players, it really depends. I see some new player losing sn gonna play the game lower variance for higher edges.
I think if you aren't playing very differently vs a reg than vs a weak player you are giving away a larger edge vs recreational players to play like an aggrobot or something. Take the best edge you can get vs each individual opponent. To be honest this was one of the tougher things for me when switching over to hyper turbos because I was in the habit of playing careful early on to get a feel for my opponents style form playing reg speed and cash. In hypers, every chip matters too mcuh, so I couldn't do it that way. I approach new players in a standard way that does work best vs your unknown fish and after i get a few matches in, I have the neccessary info to adjust. Since I don't believe in coaching and like to develop my game on my own I can't watch this vid, since I've never had a subscription, but the concept is silly. If I was still in my mode that I would open with against the common fish, it was because I didn't have enough data to adjust into my more reactionary complex style of play.

The description isn't a
The description isn't a criticism of your play, Mers simply meant that against him in this video you play a style that is best against a recreational player, and given that you likely had no idea (certainly didn't since you just verified that) that it was Mers, then obviously it would only be natural to play that style.
Vids are always free to opponents featured in videos, PM me on 2p2 with your email and I'll send it to you. There's a part 2 I believe as well, should go up later this week, I'll send that at the same time.
