Interview with Spencer Moe

Charles Hawk: Tell me more about your transition to spins. Was it hard to learn it, especially after spinwiz ban when you need to play regulars?

Spencer '360flip019' Moe: My transition to spins was somewhat gradual. HU action was below average so I started adding spins to my grind. It didn't take long to realize that 100s spins have a bigger earning potential than the equivalent level of husng. Once spinwiz was banned the games definitely got tougher since the percentage of reg games was much higher. A lot of regs moved down in stakes after the software was banned.

Charles Hawk: How many tables do you play at once? Do you have pre-determined strategy/ranges and just clicking according to it preflop? When it becomes more intelectual?

Spencer '360flip019' Moe: I try to keep a contant 4 tables up. It depends on the opponents. Vs some people Its more calculated but there are other certain regs and fun players who permit some big adjustments.

Charles Hawk: Do you miss husngs? Do you play any side husngs in spins session?

Spencer '360flip019' Moe: I do miss husng. That is the format I was most drawn to when I started playing poker. It will always be my favourite. But I enjoy spins too. And there is still a lot of hu play in these games too. It's not quite the same though.

Charles Hawk: Could you expand on what is not the same in hu spin match in comparison with husng?

Spencer '360flip019' Moe: What I mean by that is when a spin&go starts we don't know who our opponent will be and we dont know what the stack depths will be once hu starts. It has a different feel as sometimes effective stacks are in the 10bb range and there is less 25bb play in spins. There has definitely been some player I wish wish I could click accept vs in spins.

Charles Hawk: What is the most enjoyable thing about spins to you besides possibility to get instant action?

Spencer '360flip019' Moe: With spins there is the element of surprise when you get a large spin. It's always fun to see a bigger one pop up on the screen! It's always great to be able to quickly end a session. After playing a couple mtt Sundays this isn't something to take for granted.

Charles Hawk: What is the toughest so far about spins?

Spencer '360flip019' Moe: I would say the toughest thing about spins is to realize full equity due to the jackpots.

Charles Hawk: How are you learning the game and how much time do you dedicate for that?

Spencer '360flip019' Moe: I am learning the game just like any other game. Put in the time to study and the rest will follow.
