Haha, I'm the only nit so far who didn't give this vid a 5 star rating ;)
Good to see stuff like this come out. I feel that you could have fit in a few more questions, maybe pick his brain a bit more about strat related things, but there was a lot of great stuff in there, thanks!
interesting interview...livb
interesting interview...livb seems like a nice guy

Awesome, I was just about to google search livb interviews to read on the train ride - now I have this.
so funny seeing what a nice
so funny seeing what a nice guy he is (in this interview, quadjacks interview, espn etc.) knowing from posts on 2+2 what a trash talker he is and how much he can tilt. Does anybody know if he changed his table manners after he has become kind of famous outside the husng community??
day 4 and maybe 5
he was commentating WSOP ME day 4 and maybe 5
crstn, as far as I'm aware
crstn, as far as I'm aware he's always been hyper competitive at the online tables, and I believe he's publicly stated that his chat tilt was so bad at one point that he had to ask the sites to disable his chat. Look at the old 2p2 interview (should be in the heads up sng forum FAQ links section) for details on his chat tilt, it's been covered a lot in the past, we tried not to repeat too much stuff from his old 2p2 forum interview to his latest interviews on espn/quadjacks/2p2 podcast/others. Though the HUSNG aspect should be unique enough given that many of his other interviews are with larger, more general poker media.
Every person I've heard of meeting him + television appearances + producers/live pros/etc. seem to all agree on him being a great/nice guy though.
This should link to his WSOP

Good interview. I'd like to
Good interview. I'd like to suggest that for future interviews like this where it's audio-only that maybe it could be published as an mp3 podcast. Makes it easier for people to take it on the go.
Livb just hates losing to the
Livb just hates losing to the extreme, this is not a bad trait by any means. I have the same trait. The thing is sometimes it can obv lead to over-emotion which can lead to tilt or trash talking in chat or whatever. Livb has talked about this publicly a lot and has clearly stated he went out of his way to work really hard and improve his control with this. People who are smart, humble and dedicated can change negatives into positives, livb is a pro.

Great to hear from Olivier,
Great to hear from Olivier, but brutal interview.
Hey everyone.I am the guy
Hey everyone.
I am the guy that did the interview. My first ever so I was a little over-awed by the situation.
Any suggestions good/bad are welcome. The brutal comment was brutal. lol.If I get another chance to do an interview I would like to improve.Thought I ummed a little too much among other things.Maybe I am being too self-concious and nobody even noticed me...I hope.I think Mike and Adam's jobs at 2+2 are safe for the moment.
Thanks,

no worries
I think for a first shot it was pretty decent to be honest. You'll get more comfortable with the format over time. Maybe have a couple of drinks to loosen up before the call? ;) Also, you could create a thread here so members can ask their own questions. I listened to it yesterday, the main thing lacking in my opinion was actual strategy talk, I mean no need to make it super technical but just picking his brain a bit about some of the crazy things he does at a table would have been amazing.
Sorry Triple...shouldve been
Sorry Triple...shouldve been nicer, but it was brutal. If you do listen to yourself again i'd think you'd agree. I can understand if you were a little awe struck, but need to take control of the interview and sack up! rather than sound like a 12 year old, left in no-man's land. ;)
Watch some old Larry Kings or other greats and simply follow them i'd suggest to get a good format.
I didnt listen to it yet, but
I didnt listen to it yet, but whats so brutal about this interview, what is the "brutal" comment?
Thou shalt not tilt.
FWIW, I just listened to it
FWIW, I just listened to it and I thought it was an excellent interview. To be honest, apart from the odd strategy question specific to hu sngs, I could not think of a question you didn't ask!
Nice job.
Thanks everyone for the
Thanks everyone for the feedback.Glad most people enjoyed it. I would have liked to get into a bit more strategy talk with Olivier but didn't have that much time toprepare. I didn't want to ask some dumb generic strategy question. If we get a chance to talk with him again maybe we can throwsome well prepared hand histories his way and see what happens.
nice video and interesting
nice video and interesting conversation. livb112 really provides his point of view about being a poker player, life and husng. His hard work, patience and discipline lead him to a successful poker career.
great video. especially for
great video. especially for ur 1st time. i dont understand what it actually means to say the interview was brutal. i think it was perfect. if you ask too many personal questions and 'take control' of the interview like cnn and fox news reporters livb might get frustrated and not enjoy it as well. then he will question doing interviews in the future. perfect interview and great job imo.
Not sure what planet slatey
Not sure what planet slatey is from...I thought the interview was fantastic. I just listened to it like any other interview and didn't think anything of it in terms of how it sounded. I thought the questions and answers were all fine and you did a good job.
Thanks again.
