I Suck at Poker

No I really do. Not that anyone that plays my stakes (10s with the occasional 20) is good in the grand scheme of things but the past month and a half has really started to make me question any progress I've made since joining this site. I started with a roll of $100 playing the 5s and pretty steadily built it up until I could move up to the 10s. Since playing the 10s I've had my roll as high as $770 but it's almost as if the doom switch is flipped once I reach this point. Without fail I'll drop 10 buy ins and then work it back up, repeating the process a few times now. Obviously this is very frustrating since my ultimate goal is not to play the 10 dollar games. I'm not here to bitch about variance because it happens to everyone. However, when this switch is flipped it seems as if I can't buy a break, losing in every possible way no matter how far ahead I am. Alright so right now my poker roll sits at $600 (I'm such a baller) and obviously I'm doing something wrong here. If I can't control suckouts I need to increase my edge. I need to do something to get over this hump. Any advice on how to get out of this funk would be greatly appreciated.

$600 is plenty to get coaching. I believe Cog's course is $300. I took it when my roll was $600-900. It is by far the best poker investment I'll ever make.

I was planning on getting some coaching at some point and Cogs course is of interest but at this point I can't justify spending half my poker roll on it. My initial plan was to get around $1200 and then get some formal coaching so I could stay at the $20s. With the roll as it is I would need to drop down to the 5s if I spent the $300. (Not bitching about cost because in the long run its worth it)
What did you use for roll management?

I would move up once I could afford 30 buy-ins at the next level. If I lost that first game after moving up, I would move back down and recover that loss and then continue moving back up. However, that has changed since making it to stakes where I can make a decent amount of money that I am satisfied with. $300 should be enough to stay at the $10.50s. I can't imagine the swings could be that bad after considering the fact that most opponents aren't going to be all that great.

You're roll isn't big enough obv to get some coaching but another idea would be to get one of the coaches to do a HH review as it is much cheaper. Otherwise, start posting some hands in here.
If it happens on a regular basis it is hard to just put it down to variance and there is possibly something wrong whether it be in your game or even in your mindset.

Take Cog Dissonance's beginner course...seriously. When I decided I wanted to learn HUSNGs, I took his course and never had any problems transitioning through the stakes from the $5.25s to a mix of $52.50s, $84s, and $105s.
