Information: PokerStars is the largest online poker site for heads up sngs.  They offer buyins starting at $1 and ranging to $5000.  The rake on PokerStars is some of the lowest in the market for most buyin levels, beginning with the $5 level (4.2% rake) and extending through the higher buyin levels (as low as 1.2% rake).

Information: Redbet is a skin on the IPN/Boss network, which for reference is roughly 2x as large as Bodog's poker base and about 50% larger than the Merge network.  The games on redbet and the rest of the network (the playerbases are shared) are populated up until the $100 level, where action becomes much slower.  The rake is competitive in the market (5% at the $5 level, 3.3% at the $150 level and 2.5% at the $1,000-10,000 buyin levels).  Redbet is an excellent room with a very soft quality of opponents, particularly for players of the $5-50 buyin level.

Information: Party Poker is the 2nd largest poker room in the world.  For heads up sngs, it is well populated, but a bit less so relative to the rest of the network.  Party Poker spreads higher than market rate rake up until the $200 level.  However, they cap the rake fees at $10 a tournament, making the high stakes buyins on Party Poker very fairly raked (under 1% at the highest levels).  Party Poker also attracts a large number of casual players and weak "regulars" in the high stakes heads up sng arena.  Therefore, it is recommended to sign up at Party Poker if you are a $50+ level player with high volume or a $200+ buyin player of any level volume.
