Hey Frank...thx for making a video...nice stats....but the games dont get much easier than this guy....he will call all the way
down with almost any piece of the board.

1) vs. a massive massive fish like safi13 do you really think these players are going to fold on a QKQ4 board after u've
donk bet out (early in match) and he rr you and u 3 bet him? Do you really think he would believe you have something? (in general)

2) Middle of game you dont call a 50 bet into a 200 pot for a gutshot and 1 overpair? Why do you think his bet represents strength
as its really the first time he has done this?

Greetings,

I just wanted to compliment you on your video.  This is a good example of how profitable (and necessary) it can be to shift gears against an atypical opponent at these limits.  Your strategy adjustments (and your stated reasons for making them) made good sense, and I enjoyed the various observations you made about defeating this loose passive "calling station."  Also, I really liked your analysis about which types of boards could be profitably bluffed at against his range (even though he's behaved like a station).  I'm going to pay more attention to scare cards that are unlikely to have improved my opponent, and enable me to double barrel the turn (or river) for a profitable bluff.

Thanks for this vid,

Jeffrey

I like content of the video, even if villain was weak. Hope you could improve quality of sound and picture next time (try different format, not mp4).

He was going to put the video into .wmv, but his laptop was left in a cab and lost, so he lost the original file.

I had to edit out an interuption in the video so I was at the mercy of converters that seem to drop the quality level a bit.  That, plus it was in .mp4, we really had to work with what we had.

Greetings FrankThomas8,

I watched your video again and have a question about a play you made.  At approx 19:40 you decided to attack SAFI13's limp.  He had been limping pretty much every hand.  The blinds were 50/100 and you were in the BB with 1,505 chips (on top of the BB).  Your said, "here is a spot where he's taken down a lot of pots, I'm just going to do the 4x.   Your hand was 4h6s.  Unfortunately, he called.  Fortunately, he mucked on the flop when you bet 600 (you had bottom pair on a Q48 rainbow flop).

In hindsight, do you think this was the right play (preflop) to make against this guy?  My sense is that the blinds were so high that you wouldn't want to do this unless you had a really good hand and wanted him to call (and then you'd bet out on basically any flop).  He was so passive and wanted to see a flop every time.  I can understand your read as it was unlikely he had a decent hand.  However, I'm just wondering if he's going to fold his limp enough times to make this play profitable.

Thank you,

Jeffrey

Yeah looking back on that hand I don't think it was optimal but at the same time was not too bad either.  I was just stealing with the 4x raise, then once he called and we hit the flop, I felt compelled to continue since its unlikely he hit that board.

1) I do no necessarily think they will fold to my 3 bet there, but at the same time I am doing a bit of advertising that I am willing to risk some chips in marginal spots.

2) After I watched the video for the first time and saw the T8 hand where I folded to a 1/4 pot bet with the gutshot, given the implied odds since he is usually strong there I should have called and stacked him if I hit my gutter
