@ about 24:30 you play a hand against dude904 where you limp k5o, flop comes a85tt (you have no backdoors), and you debate c/r vs c/c, eventually deciding on c/c. Could you explain what you were debating and why you ultimately chose c/c? You were basically readless fwiw.

Hi,
I guess I was debating whether to c/r or not since it was the first hand of the match and a c/r would ultimately get any hand other than an A to fold. If i call, I do have some showdown value but it is unlikely that my opponent will check this down to the river and since I am basically c/f turn and river I don't think I'll win the hand too often.
I decided to c/c in the end due to having zero reads and decided that the c/r might get me involved in a big pot OOP and since I don't know what range he will be calling me with (FD, middle pair, bottom pair, etc) and I would not know whether to barrel turn or not, if he called my flop 3bet.
Basically the c/r would force me into a much tougher decision later on since the pot is much bigger and if i just c/c I can simply c/f the turn if unimproved since I don't think many people will double barrel the turn on that kind of a board with a bluff this early on...

thanks for the vid, I'm only half way through but enjoying it so far

I disagree slightly on a few points (but am very open to being proved completely wrong of course ;))- your description of his range for limp calling was 67 78 type of hands, J9, J8 (fine) but then you mentionned big card low card combinations such as K5 Q5 J5? I think those could definitely be in his limping range, but limp calling those seems pretty spewy to me - is that a play that you see very often?

Also, I'm bothered by your bet sizing on the unfortunate A8 hand you 3 bet with and the flop comes KK3 with 2 spades. You bet seemed pretty large to me (something like 360 into 520? too lazy to go back ;)) when a half pot or less would have done the exact same job with less risk.
The same kind of argument applies to the 78dd hand a little late you raise a limp with, flop comes AKx, and you also bet 350 into 520 or something, when you're never making an A or K fold, and everything else will fold to a smaller bet.

cheers

jeff
