Daniel 'Pl@yerABC' Sklar about the start of the 2016

Charles Hawk: First of all tell me please your motivation and everything emotion-related about starting your 2016 performance (knowing the fact about rake decrease). Was your start of the year any different than you can recollect from the past?

Daniel 'Pl@yerABC' Sklar: Speaking about motivation and emotion-related stuff, I am at the top of my game. I started the year 2016 with the resolve to improve my game to be able to play poker and make money no matter what happens in the poker environment.

I bought wonderfull video-pack: "coffeeyay - GTO in HUSNGs". Actually, it is not only a videopack. Part of the purchase are GTO solutions you can browse online using GTORangeBuilder software. This GTO stuff is so interesting and valuable! I started to work with GTORangeBuilder and later with the SimplePostflop software (I also recommend Coffeeyay Spin&Go SBvsBB Pack). And that's not the end of the list! There are so many ways how to improve your game, I am thrilled! Lately I have watched Pbogz Twich Stream with Coffeeyay and I made like 5 pages of notes. Last few days I was like a small kid waiting for the candy, finally the PyhaKaru's Twich Stream was published on the Youtube. I am going to watch it and I am sure I will find a lot of valueable information there.

Compared to previous years, I am working more on my game. And I would say, that working away from the tables makes grinding not only more profitable but also more interesting! I have new ideas I want to test at the tables, I am trying new stuff and that's always interesting!

Charles Hawk: Tell me – in comparison with a some time ago in 2015 - about your volume/hr, fish ratio, time which you need to wait for action, (maybe hourly winnings) and every other important stat?

Daniel 'Pl@yerABC' Sklar: At the moment, I am plaing only Spins. So no waiting for action, which is great. Usually I play 4 tables. Regs/recs ratio is in my experience very dependent on the time of day - so If you can do it, it's a wise choise to play at the peak hours (like friday evening).

Charles Hawk: How are you feeling after 2 months of new changes behind you? (Maybe you can share your 2016 graph?) How positive are you about your long-term future in online poker (at least 3 years)?

Daniel 'Pl@yerABC' Sklar: I have brand new computer - with a new PockerTracker database - so I can only send you my results for the last few days. As a technical side note: I was using old computer for many years. I bought a new one with fast Intel processor, 64-bit Windows, lots of RAM and SSD drive. The difference in performance is unbelievable! PokerTracker and other programs are working so fast. One more thing for me to be happy about in 2016!

I am not sure about 3-years future. You know, maybe some better opportunity will knock at the door. I am very optimistic. My mantra is "this will be my best year ever".

Charles Hawk: How are you feeling energy-wise and motivation-wise? Are you grinding at the same pace as usually all those years?

Daniel 'Pl@yerABC' Sklar: I could write a book about motivation and mindset because I am very interested in these topics. But here I want to make just one observation: Your philosophy and mindset are influenced by the books you read, videos you watch, persons you talk to, etc.

I want to be full of energy, motivated and I want to feel great. I believe I need to be active and work towards these goals. So I read great books, watch great videos (Youtube) and movies and I communicate with great people.

OK, end of rant, back to poker part of your question - I am grinding less because I am actively working on my game. But I will increase my volume in future months.

Dear reader, I wish you all good! I am looking forward to some interesting battles against you at the tables! (Let's hope we will hit 10 000x multiplier game! :-)
