Where is the "Six Stars" rating???

This is likely to be the best and most useful video on the site for beginning/novice HU players such as myself.

These are the types of videos that I believe beginning/intermediate players can learn most from: powerpoint, theoretical videos with solid hand examples.

Can we get more like this? I know you are on your superturbo kick now. Are you planning to do any more "normal" videos?

Do you really think that the 345 rainbow is a good board to c-bet vs the tight passive player? Unless they are really really really tight I think a lot of bad players, even when they are tight and passive, will call with high overcards right here.

dont know, i guess TP players wont call with such hands like J8, Q7, because you have really really bad odds and you are OOP and ofc. - because they are tight-passive. What did the see? They saw your aggression preflop, they missed the flop and they cant handle your CB unless they have cards like author said - 3x 4x 5x 6x 2x (tight-passive dont ussualy have a lot of this hands) overpairs and overcards. So its gonna be pretty profitable

// find correct. correct the rest.

If tight players call the flop on low card boards the most common "best" adjustment is to double barrel them, not check back.

I'm not sure if that's what is going on in this situation, but reading the last two comments reminded me of that.

And what goGa says about the preflop ranges (tight players not having many 3-4-5x hands in their preflop calling range) is very important here and really means it's very unlikely a tighter player hits that board (aside from stuff like A2-A6, K6 perhaps, 76, 87 type hands, 33-77ish).  All in all, just way too many msises vs hits, especially when you consider 2-3 barrel fold equity from A and K hi (tight players rarely take a stand on those boards with ace high, but villain dependent).

At 14 mins, why are you betting a straight draw versus a calling station? He's likely to call with so many hands, and if you miss the gutshot, you've got to give up and lose chips.

I'm no expert, but cannot see why to bet here.

cog dissonance's picture

cog dissonance says:

A lot of the time calling stations call the flop and turn and fold the river. One good source of chips can be to bet the turn if you have a draw, and then the river if it hits or misses. You don't want to bet the flop, turn and river because that inflates the pot too much. That's probably what was at the back of my mind, although I often bet the turn and don't bet the river if it looks unbluffable.

My question is how do we recognise those kind of players from HUD stats? i mean what are their average hud stats for those players so we can easily categorize them ?

Like for Loose passive: should be like 50/10 ?

Thanks.
