The A8o w/ ~17 bb effective stacks.  Wouldn't it have been more +ev to just 3b ship?

the 88 hand was very very sexy

Ty the 88 hand was indeed very very sexy. A bit mean of me to show!
I know I can profitably ship A8o there, but I do tend to look for spots which are higher ev.

Yea, I downloaded and watched the latest live-vid "cog_vid28_20s" before Rayn changed on "cog_vid28_agreus"... normal sounds for me... many good folds + really like thinking All_in in latest hand , i think it's great video for people who plays that buy in. :)

What do you think about leading out 2/3 pot on the turn when you hit trips w KT? Villain most likely will check back on that turn if he has Qx but will call lead.

I recently started experimenting with leading in spots like these. A lot of times I don’t get any credit when I do that.

My IMHO:
I like leads at situations like that when u are playing with weak opponents (they are never folding Q on the turn and river), but if u began do that with regulars => u should start balanced leads => start leads with bluffs/semi-bluffs and it's changed your game if u are never leading (don't watched many leads in Cog Dissonance vids) :)

I definitely agree that if you keep playing the same person and only lead with good hands that soon becomes very transparent. However vs unknown or decent player that you have no history with I think it’s better to lead because in my experience people will talk themselves into calling more often than not. You prevent villain from checking back, charge draws, strong pairs and don’t give cheap/free river card.

Yeah the lead isn't a bad idea, but I find that I often get those spots wrong, leading when I shouldn't (ie they fold).. so now I take the simple line most of the time and check.

Just a few quick comments on the match. I thought u played really solid but i think u overestimated the strength of my ranges, which is ttly understandable given that we haven't played much at all.

I think i like a lead in the KT hand too because with that type of texture im very rarely leading total air or even like SD value type hands (though the way the match had been going i may very well have with little threat of being c/r). But in general my range there is pretty strongish so leading turn is pretty good because i'm checking back a huge % of my range on that turn because it's so horrible and hits ur range so well. In saying this, if you were to lead turn it would definately  have lead me to believe you have a pretty strong range in that spot and as much as im never folding JJ on the turn im likely to have folded to a riverbet. Not being results oriented though if you lead turn and we get a blank riv then i would also probably be folding a pretty high % of the time. So i dont really feel that one way is far superior to the other, other than the fact that by doing it in this spot you could set up the potential to build a dynamic to do it in other spots.

The 88 hand was very well played by you, but you have no idea how close i was to calling :D you assigned my range perfectly but for the reason that i knew my hand was very face up, i had my mouse hovering on call for a long time. But im a pussy so w/e.

Ryan mentioned potentially doing the other side of this match which is something i may consider doing.

Seeing the match from the other side would be cool. I know I was lucky to get a fold there :D
