thx for the video, could you explain why you c/c with A5 on the river?
U mean when he had A5 in the A44cc 8 5 board?? If so, i think he 1st said that as it was vs a rec player then he doesn't need balancing his flop bets, so as he knew he's getting a ton of folds on that flop, he rather checked it back hoping to induce bluffs on turn/river or letting his opponent hits a pair and getting at least 1 street of value, Then, he just didnt see a lot of value by raising the river (altho i dont hate the idea of minraising river and getting called by an 8)

I wouldn't disagree with raising the ace there, I felt I wouldn't get called by much worse, but the reality is I should always try for the extra bit of value.

I think that's the perfect example of a play that separate a very good player from a decent one.

I think you're right about this thought process separating OK players from good players in the mid stakes games.
It is something that one would find in a pay video, but it's not like we want to put low quality vids free, it would be a bad preview of what is for sale. Cog's stuff is always solid though, and a great representation of the value that users can find in some of the video packs.

I think you undersold how often 8x calls on the A98 r KK a little.
You will be betting all of your preflop range on the flop and K would be perceived to be a good barrel card given it is an overcard to 2nd and 3rd pair.
When the board pairs, and you jam you are polarised around a level 2.5 inflection point.
Villain knows you have less Kx in your range here and guys that cap their c/c range love to bluffcatch when the board pairs because he knows there are less combos which give you a better hand.
But if he knows that you know that, you will be perceived to be decreasing your bluffing frequency on this river card decreasing the value of him bluff catching.
I'd guess this guy is thinking on about level 1.5 (essentially playing his hand strength and somewhat thinking about yours) so I think you're almost always going to get called by a 8x here.
For the same reason 8x calls, you won't fold out 9x much unless villain is on the level 3 side of the level 2.5 inflection point and believes your bluffing range is heavily contracted when the river pairs the board.
Your jam here is VERY good, I think a lot of players make the mistake of checking back and miss value here.
cdon I think your arguments are really valid if the villain was a decent reg, but perhaps not so much if he's a recreational player. If the rec's start thinking that well then I'm out of a job!

This A55 flop check (was a paired board if i remember well right ?) to induce is so simple and so clever...
Online timing tells is one the few areas in poker when one cant clearly establish an average tendancy imo but very interesting to see you talk about that rare topic on this vid though.

Is the K3o fold OOP for 16BB standard? (3.25 - minute on the video). These are the hands i seem to be misplaying and getting in trouble with as they flop poorly yet i think i am being too much of a nit folding them here. Would you be flatting or even non-3b AI if it was suited?
