Coffeeyay $15 Hyper Turbo Heads Up Leakfinder (Part 1)

Coffee looks for leaks in a student's game throughout this this HU SNG video.

Coffeeyay does a leakfinder at the $15 hyper turbo heads up poker level on PokerStars. He talks about analyzing ranges in a way to help you reall narrow down hands that continue versus hands that fold, and how to use aggression at short stacks to increase your edge.

It's interesting that you

It's interesting that you mention you'd even limp 72o. I'm a bit surprised you'd rather do this than mr, but I can understand not wanting to inflate the pot with such a weak hand as well. Up to what depth would you try to play a 100% VPIP BTN strategy and how do you think your opponent should best counter it?

I don't play deep so I'm not

I don't play deep so I'm not sure. I'd imagine its fine up to 30bbs at least. Deeper likely i'd play 100% vpip but minraise 100%. But again I don't play deep at all. The best counter is to raise limps a lot and play back a lot in limped pots since the limped range is weak. It's not really something to worry about this since fish don't do it and I used different ranges versus regs.

I meant more about how

I meant more about how shallow you'd still do this. I've had opponents that played 100% BTN VPIP (mix of raising or limping) and limp-folded as shallow as 5bb lol. It's actually not as trivial to beat as it seems because he's still calling most shoves and it somehow seems preferrable to have my opponent just give me the 1.5BBs instead of forcing me to shove more aggressively. It's especially annoying at ~10bb because he's limping a huge range but also strong hands... knowing that I shove very wide.

Hi guys,Hope you don't mind

Hi guys,

Hope you don't mind throwing my 2 cents in here, I wrote some code that tries to find game theoretical strategies given some player constraints (using a postflop model that is a bit simplified so take all this with some salt) and if I have one player playing 100% of his cards either limping or 2x or openshoving then I get the following solution for the BB player:

columns are solutions at 15/12/10 BB effective stacks vs such a player

in each column 1st table is strategy vs limp, 2nd table is strategy vs 2x, 3rd  table is strategy vs openshove

PS: here is how a GTO strategy might look for the SB player if he wants to play 100% of hands

(for 15/12/10/8 BB deep)

Interesting stuff! I don't

Interesting stuff! I don't know if your software is easy to configure but what kind of shoving strategy would it advocate over a 75% button limping range @ 6-15BB? This is one of the areas where I'm unsure about what to check and what to shove because I can't just use NASH as if I was open-shoving since 1. it's not a 100% limping range 2. they invest a SB 3. they usually still have some small raising range.

Definitely not easy to

Definitely not easy to customize unless you know what is inside but I would be more than happy to run this for you for given ranges/effective stacks. Also the postflop part might need a bit of work and I could benefit greatly from your thoughts - at the moment it assumes player with initiative cbets 1/2 pot and the other player shoves if he has a top 40% hand and it is called by top 20% hands - better than nothing but it can be improved
