So stars is down, seems like  a good time to post an update

January as far as my results go was to say the least a roller coaster, the graphs in my two previous posts show two of the most epic swings I have dealt with yet. My plan for the month was to get to the end with 100k vpp, 10% needed for super nova elite, at which point I planned to to reasses whether I wanted to chase the holy grail of vip rewards or not. To say the least it has been very hard, mostly because action I was gettin at 200+ hypers was significantly slower than the other stakes, so when I take a next free lobby policy on my volume i seem to put around 75% of it at the 100's, a suckers game for people trying to get to SNE without putting in 9k games a month. On top of this my downswing + withdrawals put me back down to playing just the 100s for the last part of the month making the vpp grind go at a snails pace. I finised the month with about 90k vpps,slightly short of my target, but despite this I've decided to still go for it - I feel even if I half hearted poker I would make 650k vpps and it seems silly to not push that extra and go for the balla profits and then sense of accomplishment that grinding out SNE would give me.

In other poker related news I took my first step into the staking game and have a couple of lowstakes guys that I have a coaching staking deal with the intention of getting them from the 20-50$ levels up to the 100$ level over the course of the next couple of months. Both are off to a good start and if all works out it is something I can see myself doing more of in the future. On top of this I have been doing a bit of work with the guys from pokertracker 4 to address the needs of husng players within the programme. It's nice to see how much some of the programmers care about our (and all) poker demographics when designing the programme; they responded to all of the reccomendations I made without hesitation. I'm pretty sure when we all get to grips with the new software everyone will be saying hem who?

Outside of poker life has been quite boring, Edinburgh is still cold as hell, the club scene is dead and grinding has taken up a lot of hours. TV is officially dead too, there has been nothing good to watch this year and I fear the day of good shows on a consistent basis is dead and gone (game of thrones in april i think, but everything else is shit, and if you're about to reccomend spartacus to me go and shoot yourself in the face for watching such tripe!). Films also left much to be desired, nothing really blew me away this month, I watched Rum Diary and mission impossible 4 and they both sucked, and today with stars down I watched most of the trailers on the imdb home page and they all looked like shit - if I'm repeatedly being shown the best 2 minutes of a film and thinking it shit fuck knows how bad the other 88 minutes is. If i had to reccomend something though I would say Drive, easily one of the best films of last year (despite some horrendous soundtrack moments) and kill list, this second one you have to see, I used to love films as a kid and I remember they would stick with me for days after, but as an adult that doesn't really happen as much, but this film stuck with me like no other I have seen recently. I like music a lot to and have gone on a little grime splurge this month, here are some of my fav tracks atm (in b4 haters and yanks who can't understand the words!):
