Blog update...
Its been a while and I appologize for that. I have more or less been out of the poker world the last 9 months, at least compared to the previous couple years. The year has continued to be disapointing for me from a poker standpoint. The only two months I really crushed like I did last year were June and July when I did not have other distractions like school and soccer which are taking up a ton of time. As much as I wanna do well, it's just not possible to be a world class player while having other obligations that take up so much time. After this semester is over, I am really going to get back into poker. It's my last ever soccer season so when it ends I'll suddenly have a ton of time to really get back into the mode of dominating HUsngs. For now though it's been a nice change of pace after working my ass off at the tables for 2.5 years.
Right now all my classes are boring and I am having a hard time motivating myself in school. I think last semester everything was new and fresh to me and being back in the classroom was exciting but now that it's been semester 2 a lot of that has lost its luster. I've concluded that I'll continue playing professionally after school and don't see any reason not to as long as I am able to make an incredible amount of money for someone my age. The only thing keeping me going is going out with a bang in soccer after such a long and successful career. When the season ends in December I'll almost certainly put most of my focus towards poker but still work towards my degree since I'm only a couple semesters away after this year.
One troubling thing is that I have sort of accustomed a lifestyle that is based on me making a lot of money consistently. If I go a couple months without making decent money, it makes me feel pretty bad when I see my bank account decreasing. I have a $3k mortgage and insurance, tax and just random spendings makes money pretty quick. Most of my money is put away so I never feel as wealthy as I really am, but I still think I need to find a way to cut down my spendings. Who knows how long I'll be able to pull in $250k a year without batting an eye. I'm thinking about selling one of my cars for starters, putting all of that money away, and having a more reasonable car insurance bill.
Tomorrow I'm goin to New York for a soccer game and will be gone most of the day. It's gonna be a fresh start with poker to start a new month and I'm going to really focus on having October be my best month to date in 2009. Here's some goals for the month of October:
1. Earn $50k (not counting rakeback, bonuses, FPPs, etc). Only from actual poker winnings.
2. Do not miss more then 2 classes. It's not going to be realistic if I say attend every class cuz there will be a morning class I won't want to go or some other random circumstances that might lead to missing.
3. Do not make any decent sized purchases or spend money unnecessarily.
4. Try to help someone every day who can't help me back.
This is all I can think of for right now. I have a few other personal goals I don't wanna make public but I'll really make an effort to start updating this again more regularly. Good luck at the tables!

Well you can teach me how to make like 1-2k per month in poker, and as return to your favor I won't help you with nothing :D
